Near Cambridge so just a day trip on the train. I try to get to a couple of CC days a year, the smaller and more bucolic ground the better. Bonus if its Durham as the away team!

First away day I ever did was Canterbury the day we won our first title in 90 minutes!

Shan Masood plays a scoop hits his helmet which is caught

He also trod on his wicket

It was a no ball

Third umpire intervenes as it was a no ball and it hits his helmet , it’s classed as a dead ball

But he ran and was run out which you can be off a no ball

Rules of cricket. It’s dead ball moment the ball hits the helmet( I don’t mean rishi sunak). No controversy

That’s down to the umpires. Not the rules. Top umpires are lazy they just rely on to replays
It’s easy balls dead second it hits the head. End of
