The LMC reunion will be taking place on the boundary benches just down from the pavilion on the left hand side as you enter the ground . All DL Greener, Steve Greensword ,Trapdoor Stand and Ropery Lane stories greatly received.Enjoyed the game there last season against Lancs. Still yet to see a ball bowled at home in 2nd XI cricket this season. Will be there for at least the first day.
Given that as a county purist I whinged to buggery when we played our “home” games against this lot at Middlesbrough and more recently at Richmond I suppose I should put my money where my mouth is and try to get along.3 day 2nd XI game at Burnopfield.Starting at 11:00 am on Monday 17th June .
Probably get called off as it's raining rest of the week and next weekIt’ll be interesting to see the squad selection for the game . With the County Championship restarting at Essex on Sunday 23rd at Essex the likes of Badger and Siddle might feature. Possibly Ackerman depending on fitness and dare I suggest Ben Stokes![]()
Probably more chance of BR Lander or JS Wilkinson playing.Possibly Ackerman depending on fitness and dare I suggest Ben Stokes![]()
Probably get called off as it's raining rest of the week and next wee
There’s talk of the Tony Day marquee being brought out of storage . The orange and brown tip up seats from the first games in 92 will no doubt have been condemned. Ex CLS and Burnopfield bowler David Sweeney as Chairman of the club will be on the scene.Probably more chance of BR Lander or JS Wilkinson playing.
Looking that way. Yet another 2nd XI home fixture to probably bite the dust.Probably get called off as it's raining rest of the week and next week
Can remember when he used to open the Ch le St bowling with David Nevins in the late 70s.David Sweeney as Chairman of the club will be on the scene.
Played 2 games with DLN in 1984 when he was professional at my clubLooking that way. Yet another 2nd XI home fixture to probably bite the dust.

Delayed start.Inspection 1.00pm.nv.play.I live about half a mile from the ground. Has been heavy rain overnight which might delay the start. Forecast doesn’t look too bad though.
Even though this is very much a home game for me, I’m going to miss most of it as we are just about to set off for Hampden Park to see Foo Fighters.
Just got mate as I was one of the last to leave . I was sitting boundary edge just down from Yorkshire changing room . Did you come to the gameUpdate - Well we've just had the toss at sunny Burnopfield.
Durham win toss and elect to bowl.
Yorkshire 63-1 Lt-Colonel makes up for his previous howler
Not quite as good as Coggs effort yesterday but still a spectacular c & b from Drissler.
107-2

Got there at 10:40 expecting a prompt start . Overnight rain had crept under the covers meaning no play before 1:40 . No play after 5:00 with game off at 5:40 due to heavy rain .Bright sunshine around 6:00 pmFoolishly got there for 11am. Was sitting on a park bench * on the near side of the Scoreboard End next to the sightscreen. Left at 3.45.

Game abandonedGot there at 10:40 expecting a prompt start . Overnight rain had crept under the covers meaning no play before 1:40 . No play after 5:00 with game off at 5:40 due to heavy rain .Bright sunshine around 6:00 pmMinto a left armer from Norton showed promise along with Charlie Scorer from Pools . Nice action with a loopy shape with a ball. Stanley Mack did a spell of fielding but won’t bowl and probably a week or two from being match fit . All in all a decent show from players maybe two years from 1st team players .Day 2 is not too clever weather wise but Wednesday could produce an exciting finish
Game abandoned
I’ve tried to see an official announcement that the game’s abandoned to no avail so do you mean Tuesday’s play (Day 2 )Game abandoned
