Liam Rosenior

Rosenior just thinks he can walk into any top job
Utd? Barca? Bayern? Liverpool? You’re posting rubbish to get the page hits up again.
Ferencvaros a more interesting prospect than us right now I’d say
They’ve at least got a CF. The boy Vargas looked more than decent yesterday once Hungary sorted themselves out.

The "communication silence" doesn't bother me, as no club really talks about targets coming in. They've made a mess of it all, would never say otherwise or defend that side of it. It’s farcical we haven't got anyone in and basically let Still just drag it out. If we actually kept interviewing others, we should have had a back up plan. Thays where they've failed massively and practically started searching again after Still said no.
All comes back to two men KLD no leadership and KS a waffle merchant.
What we were told was there would be,
The plan, The Structure, The Process.

We will be paying a DOF KS £260k a year and for what.
Not one decent Striker for 18 months.Mags game fiasco, that we still have no explanation for, Micheal Beale appointment, getting his mate in as head coach, keeping him in a job no matter what & now this shambles.
KLD sits in Switzerland, does nothing & lets KS drag us ever deeper into the abyss.
Embarrassing both of them.

If they haven't offered to other people wtf have they been doing ?
Interviews and offering people the job are 2 different things.

Aye can't argue with that and deserve Criticism for what they've actually done or not done.

Any job at a parachute club is going to be far more attractive than the SAFC job.
I suppose it depends on how Rosenior conducted himself when the Burnley gig came up as to whether he could still come here.

I suspect he may just not want the SAFC job regardless.

Can't blame him if that's the case as several other, more high profile managers have turned it down before him.

Seems crazy that a manager like him wouldn't be crawling over broken glass to take this job, but under the current ownership here we are.

I suppose a young manager is less self confident than the likes of Neil and Mowbray. Rosenior almost had it working at Hull so now he'll be thinking he should carry forward as much as possible of what worked there to his next job i.e. his coaching marras and two or three players he likes.
At SAFC he's been offered a job pedaling a rickshaw with Dodds Proctor and Speakman sat in the back heckling him 😄

They clearly don’t get a good feel for the job after first interview.

I see Ruud van Nistelrooy has gone odds on for the Burnley job, and Cifuentes, Lampard, and Rosenior's odds have gone quite far against now.

This is one of the biggest red flags of the whole saga for me.

The head coach role at SAFC is now so unappealing that a bloke with a pretty limited CV is happy to give up a chance at our job on the slim chance he’d get the nod at Burnley, probably knowing full well that it was a long shot.
A sad indictment of the way our club is currently perceived in the game I'm afraid. To put this into perspective the late, great Brian Clough once said that he "would have crawled up the M1 on his hands and knees over broken glass to be manager of Sunderland". Sobering times.

Now it appears you would have to threaten a decent manager, to walk over the broken glass to make someone want to take the job.

Ohh but hold on though Doddsy said the group have voted for him on the groups WhatsApp group, as the end of last season wasn’t his fault, it was the groups fault, he also says that he’s not sure the fans, the group know but Jobe & all the bellers family love him, so come on get with the group & give him the job now.

Surely it's like any other job interview. I've had three in a week before and played them off against each other to get the best fit for me. Why wouldn't any manager do the same? We all love our club but managers don't give a shit at first. They might grow to love the club but right here and now it's about getting the best for them.
If he comes back he might have weakened his position. Doesn't mean he will be a bad choice.
The whole thing is a shit show and it's clear we aren't attractive so whoever comes in as coach/ manager is going to do so after they've no other option
