Frank Lampard - manager rumours

Out of all of the rumours or genuine links Lampard is my least favourite. I'm always positive once someone new comes through the door, I would judge him only on what he does here but its a lazy, desperate choice of true.
There's not a queue of top candidates fighting over it mate. Would you prefer Dodds or Challinor or Robinson? Not for me.

We have no idea what information they may or may not have, but they're extremely well connected and his odds were significantly shortened before this went viral on social media.

The significant shortening could easily be a combination of both.
You think the board of any football team update their bookie mates before they make an appointment? Then all the bookies, hundreds of them, all start to share this secret info with all of their competitors & adjust the odds before it gets out onto social media platforms?!

Bookies make money on numbers, data, software, risk profiles. Loads of things. Bookies don’t make money on having connections.

He didn’t do well at Derby mind. They had good players, including Mount & Tomori. Done well first season at Chelsea, second season was terrible and he was awful at Everton.

He’s still a better name than some that’s being suggested but that’s probably indicative of how much of a mess our recruitment is at the minute.
People who didn’t want Rosenior liking Lampard. Clueless

We were 19th when he got sacked and had just lost at home to Nathan Jones' Southampton before Lampard was sacked (after losing 2-0 to West Ham).

We stayed up the previous season because the fans rallied behind the team and Richarlison/Pickford pulled us out of the mire with massive performances, it had very little to do with Lampard.

The bloke has such limited tactical ability to the extent he lets the midfield get over-run game after game and you concede goals for fun whilst he'll then throw the players under the bus because he's frustrated at being a terrible manager. We had a 6 week break for him during the world cup to sort it out and came back even worse losing at home to bottom of the league Wolves.

The bloke is an absolute fraud.
I do like getting fan insight. They tend to know.

Remember a boro fan coming on here at Mowbray's appointment when we were underwhelmed and telling actually he was quite good.

Well let's see what happens in this eternal merry-go-round.

The leak wouldn't neccesarily come from the board. We've seen this many times before.

It really isn't that deep, the point was that odds aren't ONLY shortened because of bets placed.

Derby spent a fortune assembling that squad, were spending £46m on wages a year and made a loss of £36m just in that year. All of that money was a gamble on chasing promotion which he failed at and only managed sixth place. 4 years later Mowbray also finished sixth with a wage bill about a third of that and a squad assembled at a fraction of the price. Dont think he did a great job at all with the resources he had available.
It sounds like nee body wants him like

Whoever gets it better have a thicker than average skin

Our lasses dad is Everton home and away, clearly they have different expectations/ and their standing in the game is currently is streets away from ours at the moment but he hates him with a passion. Condescending to the fans in interviews, shit tactics and isolating players apparently? The fanbase were buzzed when he went.

He spent an absolute fortune at Derby and failed to get them promoted - the second tier podcasts has two derby fans on it and they were saying how awful he was for them even the other week. They completely blew the league and then in the playoffs started without a striker despite them having the top scorer. Then we'll not even get into his second spell at Chelsea...

Yeah, not getting it personally. Don’t want either, they both had good squads and failed. Lampard has had even more time in management and done terribly.

There are more positives to Lampard than Rosenior like he’d probably have the pull of some more better loan players, but that’s about it.
