Frank Lampard - manager rumours


I think it’s an exciting appointment. For young English players like Neil, Rigg and Bellingham imagine how inspired they will be. He’s had a tough paper round so far so I will 100 percent back him. I think he’s a good fit for where we are at.

Get the recruitment right and get back on track.
 
If this was true, Oliver Holt, who ghost-wrote Lampard’s book and is also friends with Lampard and his wife (and Harry Redknapp), would be all over this and he isn’t.

I think it's a bit different with us ATM. He's done well at this level and he's a big name and that in itself would give the fanbase a bit of a lift.
 
Out of all of the rumours or genuine links Lampard is my least favourite. I'm always positive once someone new comes through the door, I would judge him only on what he does here but its a lazy, desperate choice of true.

We were 19th when he got sacked and had just lost at home to Nathan Jones' Southampton before Lampard was sacked (after losing 2-0 to West Ham).

We stayed up the previous season because the fans rallied behind the team and Richarlison/Pickford pulled us out of the mire with massive performances, it had very little to do with Lampard.

The bloke has such limited tactical ability to the extent he lets the midfield get over-run game after game and you concede goals for fun whilst he'll then throw the players under the bus because he's frustrated at being a terrible manager. We had a 6 week break for him during the world cup to sort it out and came back even worse losing at home to bottom of the league Wolves.

The bloke is an absolute fraud.
