Of course. It’s not like we appointing f***ing Hitler.

The immediate reaction to Beale and his treatment by SAFC supporters was disgraceful. His accent, his appearance, everything was fair game. It was pathetic.

And as it turns out we’d have been far better off him staying for the rest of the season. The vocal ‘supporters’ are as much to blame for last season as any decision KLD or Speakman made

The supporters are to blame…. Oh dear, Under Beale and Dodds from Jan P19, W4, D4, L11, yeah your right the supporters are to blame for the team selection and tactics!!

Tbf tho. Much I didn't want Beale there was no correlation with his accent having anything to do with his skills as a coach. I'm not blaming fans just thought it was a bit meh personally

I don’t agree atm.

I think it’ll be a take the job or we’re moving on swiftly now. As much as they’ve taken their time it’s because they wanted still. They’ve then in just over a week had a candidate, hasn’t worked and now got another. We’re moving a lot faster than we were before
There’s zero evidence to support what your saying
No urgency to do anything

He has a point about the personal stuff regarding Beale mind. I was as guilty as anyone of it as well

Beale had 11 games, he got 14 points.
In Mowbray's first 11 games he got 13 points.

It wasn't the results that got Beale sacked.
Mowbray had a lot less expectation considering we’d just came up from league one. We had a very similar squad to what got playoffs the year before showing what they were capable of for a narcissistic man to come in, throw players under the bus, play horrible football and get no results

No one was saying he was rubbish or didn't accept him because he was a cockney. He was rubbish and then when insults started it was about his accent and features

It had nothing to with his accent from a personal point of view. I remember saying when he was linked my concern was that he was known to be a bit of an arsehole who rubs players and fans up the wrong way. Sadly, that turned out to be the case.

Mowbray had Simms and Amad, and Stewart for a game.

I agree expectations were a factor. But to me the biggest factors were Mowbray was more likeable, we thought we were getting a more exciting name, the fans were already pissed off at the club over the BCB and striker situations.

Beale was probably harshly treated just looking at results, but the club put him in that position.
