The right coach will have a minimum set of requirements, if they aren't met they will walk away. Anyone that will be successful has to have access to the resources they consider essential to be effective in their role.
Or they knew Lens were about to announce Still, so it would keep us all quiet for a bit.Exactly
He must regret using it now.
They obviously thought a deal was in place
Job share?5/4 Burnley and 1/3 us. He can’t have both![]()
I mean saying ‘we hope to appoint someone soon’ instead of using the word imminently. I’ve already mentioned previously that KLD said he ‘hoped’ for it to be made imminently. He did. The statement started with the words “We hope”
brilliant , as was that movie.Hawkins* : I've got it! I've got it! The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?
Griselda** : Right. But there's been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!
Hawkins : They broke the chalice from the palace?
Griselda : And replaced it with a flagon.
Hawkins : A flagon...?
Griselda : With the figure of a dragon.
Hawkins : Flagon with a dragon.
Griselda : Right.
Hawkins : But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?
Griselda : No! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!
Hawkins : The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.
Griselda : Just remember that.
*Hawkins & **Griselda are not their real names....
HopefullyI think the Oxford English Dictionary people are going to need to redefine 'imminent'.![]()
5/4 implies ~44% probability. 1/3 implies 75%. That's 119% without factoring in any of the other candidates. The total over round must be colossal. Easy money for Victor Slime....5/4 Burnley and 1/3 us. He can’t have both![]()
Haven't seen it since childhood but I remember I did love it (and much of Danny Kaye's work).brilliant , as was that movie.
Why not? Small matter of a tiny potential conflict of interest perhaps, but in today's moral-free zone, I doubt anyone cares.Job share?
Is it back on?Welcome Rene Maric!
Don't give is hope ffsWelcome Rene Maric!
At this stage I would concur with your final paragraph. But even then we have to make some major assumptions. That the club are taking on board the errors of last season. Otherwise he or anyone else for that matter has got no chance.I wanted us to be a club trying something new. I was all in on a sexy hipster tactics guru. Roll neck sweaters and multi-lingual pressing.
If we go Rosenior then, meh.
But then again - meh, is what I thoughtabout Mowbray. Neil I always thought was an excellent appointment. Jack Ross I thought was a canny one.
You get it wrong sometimes. Sometimes you get it right. Very few appointments are as obviously a bad fit as Parkinson.
And then there is Beale - which is right up there as one of the stupidest moves I’ve seen any club make. Predicted by all except the board, who are arrogant enough to take us screaming as a sign they are right. You just know that.
So all in all - I’d welcome Rosenior. Disappointed, but a manager we could get behind. And should. He’s probably not going to the best we could have got. But you can’t argue he’s not a big improvement on Beale or Dodds. Clearly, he is imo.
