When is Chris Rigg Day

DJM

Striker
He can't sign a contract till he's a grown-up, so when is that?

Related question: if he will only sign for us once he's spoken to the new head coach, how long will he wait for that before signing elsewhere?

And finally, will he insist on a 'I must be picked even when I'm in crap form' clause in whatever contract he does sign?

Really hard to find

he can sign a professional contract with us from the 18th june. his scholarship still has another year to go so another club can't just take him from us
Another club can't just take him but he could sign a professional contract with them and leave with us having to go through the process of having a compensation fee agreed.
And the way the KLD and Speakman are pissing about trying to get a Manager, this is becoming more and more likely 🤬🤬

Does anyone have a reasonable idea of what we would likely be offering compared to the likes of Mags, Chelsea, Man utd etc?

In my mind we would be offering about ÂŁ4-6k a week, but those others maybe ÂŁ15k?

rigg was just talking the other week of featuring for us more next season. him and the club aren't putting that out if there's a chance he's off

harvey elliott went to liverpool for a fee up to just over 4m and he had only made 3 appearances for fulham

Been a few places that have said he won’t be signing until a new manager is in, then I guess it’ll be a conversation with the manager and what the plans are for next season and what his role will be .
Can’t blame the lad for wanting clarity, and he has options aplenty so ball is firmly in the clubs court to make signing look an attractive proposition

i think they are just guessing like they have done from the start about rigg. the club will have his development plan in place regardless of who comes in as head coach

If the next coach is a complete numpty ala beale he may well think fuck this for a game of soldiers. Like it or not the club has to sell itself so staying looks attractive to the lad.
Personally if I was him I’d be wanting to see who is coming in who is leaving etc. sitting in a team that may struggle all year if we lose say Clarke and fortify with low level replacements isn’t gonna be great

We offered certain players from the academy who are in our first team now 5k when they turned 17 without playing for the first team albeit under Short and a different league. United paid Shoretire 20k a week and Gomes in the past over 20k.
