As was said previously, there is no point in these statements. If something was close, just wait til it’s announced. Putting the statement out suggests that it’s not that close and they’re attempting to manage patience.

What’s interesting is that it’s coming from KLD and there has been no season review with Speakman (I think each season there has been by now though I could be wrong).

Are you also ignoring the fact that is common knowledge that Still was offered it two weeks ago and was set to take it until the extra euros were offered by Lens?

Why do you think the 100 days is bullshit ? It's true we had a HC of sorts in place, but it's still the amount of time they had to find a replacement. For that whole period they knew that a new HC was required.

It’s not bullshit because when they put him in charge they wrote off the season despite fans having paid to attend the games.

Meteorlogically summer only started last week and astrologically it doesn’t start for another 2 weeks I think?

I think most would be of the opinion they have been much more patient than that.

I’m being pedantic coz of wine, but I don’t think it was a worthwhile statement if the decision is imminent… because imminent sounds like it would be really soon, but putting out a statement saying it’s imminent seems unnecessary, if it is imminent. Therefore it’s a confusing message about the imminency.

Unless of course, all of the above is to give a candidate and their agent who are considering an offer, a more public reminder that time is ticking and goodwill is not infinite?
