What's the solution then
Not scheduling a tournament during the rainy season would be a canny start.
Another would be allowing longer to get the game in, everyone packing up and going home at 3pm local time is an absolute joke.

Yeah that is what always confuses me, it was the afternoon and this is the World CupSomehow to suit the Indian market and the TV companies.
Why they couldn't have used the remainder of the day to play a full match in the game today is pathetic.
The will bend over backwards for the IPL and Hundred but the supposed pinnacle of the short format they give up with 7+ hours of playable time left in the day.
Because the IPL is more important than international cricketWhy are they playing it in the Caribbean wet season anyway?
I always think the fewer the overs the more DLS favours the bowling side.Agreed. I don’t think we would have made that adjusted target.
That’s right. On the other hand, Mott insists that we were favourites to win against Scotland. I doubt it.I always think the fewer the overs the more DLS favours the bowling side.
Wasn't there a mad occasion once when England were given a crazy total to get in like 12 balls against Australia?
Australia just bowled slow and full so we couldn't hit sixes and therefore couldn't win.
We’d be buggered in England then.Not scheduling a tournament during the rainy season would be a canny start.

Still, it could be worse. Remember South Africa in the 1992 World Cup? They had to score 22 off of one ball, thanks to Benaud's zany alternative to Duckworth Lewis.I always think the fewer the overs the more DLS favours the bowling side.

3 obvsIts pretty straightforward really.
Where Z equals overs to play we can simply use the following equation and as you can see, the answer is very clearly 109!!!
z=@(y)2*pi*(sqrt((44.56-y)/.16)+1).*sqrt(1+(1./(.32-.32*(sqrt((44.56-y)/.16)+1))).^2);
y=0:.01:10;%
A=trapz(y,z(y));
syms y(t)
eq=2*pi*(sqrt((y-44.56)/(-0.16))+1)*sqrt(1+((1)/(-0.32*((sqrt((y-44.56)/(-0.16))+1))+0.32))^2)
USA representative and this game is in USAwhy is the baseball guy commentating ?
