Durham v Birmingham bears🐻 T20 (h)

First home game of the 2024 campaign after a slight hiccup at Old Trafford yesterday. But as that great football coach and philosopher Ian Dowie said "its all about bouncebackability"
On the positive side ticket sales have been good especially for for this game and the Yorkshire match so should be a bumper crowd tonight.
Apparently we are playing plenty of our t20 matches on the pavilion side of the square.
I would imagine it will be an unchanged XI for Durham as for the Bears they have already named a 13 man squad
Davies
Hasan Ali
Barnard
Benjamin
Bethell
Briggs
Garton
Gleeson
Hain
Linnott
Miles
Mousley
Yates

Apparently the Bears have won the last 2 Northern groups and have qualified for the knock out stages 4 out of the last 5 years.

So basically if we bat first well be home in an hour and if we bowl they’ll bash us out the park then the rest of the match is spent watching hopeless batsmen chase an impossible score?

Noticed this in the information for spectators

Please also note that due to the amount of rain we have had some of the grass areas in the car park will be unavailable to customers.

Potential parking chaos if everyone who has bought a ticket turns up 😡

I was just about to book car parking, fuck it will park in the town

FFS student night?
Yup, small text but the 'Invades' was mentioned in dispatches as the reason the trapdoor stand isn't available -

"Monstrous sixes" - good luck based on last night's result. Also spot the lazy copy and paste 'inaugural event' bantz - T20 :: Durham v Northamptonshire
Usually that bad like?
We've had T20 season cards for the last 3 or 4 years (I suspect this is our fourth year and I feel like I've seen Durham win maybe 4 out of 21 matches if anyone can be arsed to confirm?). The 2021 event pissed a lot of people off for reasons I won't dig up again, and the club said they'd take lessons from it.

They clearly need the money but it's a balancing act of of how much they want to piss off the members and families in attendance. I've been a student (though not Durham, I hasten to add) but I can handle my drink and not be a ****,

Is it just Durham now? Not Durham Dynamos or whatever it was?
We've not been that for a good decade.

Some of the other counties still have kept that crap up.

In fact loads of them have
