For a lad of 18 he's did well last season and will only improve. Will probably look better with higher quality players. All the rumored interest from PL clubs suggests he's going to be a top quality player.

Not really, that's clearly the plan with the lad. No intention of keeping him long term, he'd have had his minutes managed much better if he was going to be around longer.

They only had an interview with him the other day about next season. I just assumed they thought they were onto a winner, and that he had agreed to sign on the basis of game time. Didn't think it would be a season turn around

Considering he was our main signing last year, and that we shoehorned him into every game even when he probably needed to be taken out as he at times was the detriment of some performances, it would be odd to then immediately sell him

It wouldn't be odd at all - it's what he's here for. You don't really think he's going to stay for long if he's any good do you?

It's all about progressing him and then selling him on for a good profit. The sooner we can do that for me the better.

The only way he'll stay long term is if he isn't that good - right now, coming off a statistically good season for an 18 year old together with his brothers high profile might mean someone pays waay over the odds for a player of his current ability.
