99% of the football fraternity is on their one meaningful break of the year before the wheels all start turning again in June. I'd imagine interest in any genuine candidate was established a while back and the minutiae of any final negotiations could easily be done by any dimwit sat by a Costa Blanca pool with his phone in one hand, a cheap mojito in front of him and Cheryl from Shrewsbury hanging on his every word.
