Danny Rose

What has happened to him? Not been seen since Watford a year or two ago. So much talent and it feels like it has been wasted.

Sure I read that he didn't enjoy being a footballer. Did it cos he was good at it but didn't enjoy it.
I’m not particularly in love with my job either but it pays the bills etc but different as he may have made enough to set himself up with a good life, just seems to have vanished though and could have made a lot more of his obvious talent. Shame.
Won't retire without playing in Turkey.
I was expecting a slide down to lower leagues when I looked at his Wiki, but nowt. Just vanished since being released, no media or anything.

He's been on sky a couple of times. I think.

Sure he'd said he'd retired.

Had a couple of pints with his Fatha in the West Riding, before the recent midweek game down Leeds.

Asked him if their Danny was OK, but never thought to ask him what he was doing.

Oooooops, missed having a scoop, there.

Saw his brother play for South Shields a couple of years ago. He had a suspended sentence hanging over him for cracking someone's jaw. Looked a decent player but his chequered career suggests he hasn't made the most of his ability.

Hope he's alright, seemed to have a few personal issues and not sure he ever loved being a footballer but he seemed to enjoy his time here and was one of the loan players that I look back on fondly. Hopefully got enough money to set himself up for life and is just spending his days doing something that he enjoys. Can imagine the business of football could make anyone fall out of love with the sport when they're in it for a few years tbh

He's an ex-Mag and was a bit of an arsehole at times - who gives a shit?
There’s certain players you look at & periods are more prominent. I doubt there’s many Sunderland supporters consider him to be an ex-Mag over someone who did very well for us for a year. Seem to remember he wanted to sign but had done that well Tottenham wanted to keep him. The Newcastle thing was a short insignificant period in his career.

Chopra, he was an ex-Mag. Clark. Given. Harper. Danny Rose doesn’t fit into that category

Accept your view mate. Mine is he is an ex-Mag (he did play for NUFC) & (I know) he was a bit of an arsehole at times (even during his time with us).

A player with the talent to have become a top top player, but he seemingly did not really have the appetite for the game and did it more so because he was good at it. Hopefully he has made enough money to have a successful life doing something he loves.
