Sunderland music thread

Problem with the ivy is it's an old building, so isn't a natural gig venue. They should clear the area down the front too.
I’ve always said that. If people get in early enough & get a table, you’re looking canny, if you’re happy sitting. Unless you want to get to the bar or toilet.

I like the pub, the layout just struggles with bands.

The seats to your left as you face the stage were all reserved for the bands family/friends yesterday. I've got no problem with them keeping a few seats, but that's a canny size space. If they took those tables out then it means people can move forward. Most people prefer to stand when the watch a band anyway.

Aye, it’s always baffled me why they leave it set up. I’m only assuming they’ve got nowhere to store it?

The Stones Story were quality at the Beehive yesterday.

What a pleasure to meet
@Markymarkspunkybunch
You enjoy 77?
Pleasure was all mine mate. Enjoyed both bands tbh. 77 were different gravy though, absolute sweat box in the ivy mind. Everyone storming outside after the first set even though it was lashing down

Had that exact same conversation with someone yesterday. Would make it infinitely less cramped if they moved the front table either side of the stage
