Jordan Henderson compendium thread

Come on home Hendo, finish your career with your club taking us back to where we should be. Despite what a few self-righteous, holier-than-thou, bores on message boards say you are still a legend in this city. Exactly what we need in the middle, a leader with experience and passion.
Never gone to happen. He’ll command more wage’s elsewhere until he retires and has already proved money means more to him then his reputation or morals.

Footballing wise he'd be an amazing and welcome addition, but he'll never be a hero to me.

Just another hypocritical greedy twat with zero morals yet likes to talk shite about how grounded and upstanding he is.

If he never spoke about gay rights and stood for other social causes, no one would have battered an eyelid when he went for the Saudi money.

But he framed himself as a man of good moral standings when it was easy and good for his image, then scrapped the lot the instant he was offered even more millions on top of the millions he already had. Greedy, hypocritical twat

You seem to be disingenuous in your hatred

Still has…it’s mainly Sunderland fans who developed an overnight dislike of all things Saudi.

Even if you don’t like Liverpool, Henderson has been a model professional who has tried to do his best
Spot on. Henderson has been a top player with a great career with the trophies to back it up.

Some of our fans criticised him when he was a young 18 year old breaking into the first team! It was embarrassing - probably the same ones criticise him now! He made the club 18 million. In the same way they now criticise Jobe - a model pro who is making forward strides as a young 18 year old!

It’s the worst thing about football - negative, cynical people who have never played or coached to any level and know nothing about the game but feel their opinion is the one to be listened to!

..isn't everyone entitled to an opinion? ..or what level does anyone have had to play at to have an opinion mate?

That’s the crux of it, doubt anyones bothered much about him going Saudi for cash, many have before him and many will again.
It’s the silly stances he took and then tried to flip flop on them when it suited him and then he did the appalling interviews to try and excuse the hypocrisy.

Personally I couldn’t care less if he went for the money, but at least have the honesty to say it was for the money and none of this trying to change the culture nonsense

Exactly..made himself look like a complete tosser in my eyes. You can tell a man by how he acts in the big moments. He'd spent his whole career building up his image as the good guy, the last remaining level headed, upstanding footballer...yet through it all away within seconds of being flashed the Saudi cash. The bloke is a complete melt.

That’s the thing, for all it turned out to be pr bluster, he’d pretty much carved out a tv career after football, with his career and all the standing up for the gays. He’d have been a producers wet dream to get on as an analyst for both men and womens football.
What he’s don’t is make himself a few quid and guaranteed he ain’t gonna get many if any tv gigs

If he'd stayed in Europe, maybe took a step down from Liverpool, did his coaching badges, a bit of TV, some commercial deals and adverts, continued his career as a spokesperson for those less well off, went into management or some sort of football advisory or ambassadorial role, could have worked for the FA or a TV company... Any one of millions of paths that would have guaranteed he remained a millionaire for the rest of his life AND been seen as an all round stand up guy, universally liked and respected.... I mean what more could a lad from Herrington want?

But no, not enough for Jordan

If someone critics young players like Henderson and more recently the likes of Jobe - my opinion is they are clueless or losers or both! QIt is very easy to have an opinion on their opinion!

Appeared to me he was under the spell of Gerrard. Unlike Gerrard Hendo is not a self centred person. Bonkers decision, jumped off the end of the pier because someone told him to … idiot
