Surely they've found a cure for that by nowApparently he is vegetarian anarl
Which bit is daft?Don’t be daft
Some of the defence of his decision isn't half reaching
He never really supported LGBTQ+ rights as someone else wrote it all for him
His accepting Saudi money is fine as my dad did the same when he worked there
He's one of our own. So whereas we might criticise the Mags for campaigning for Saudi money, it's fine for someone born in the Sunderland boundaries
Thread makes us look a bit stupid actually
Always said Colback was better MLF
Apparently he is vegetarian anarl
Suggesting it’s ruined his legacy…it hasn’t. He has played for his hometown clubs, country, and won everything captaining Liverpool.Which bit is daft?
I'm not sure. He was massively booed by England fans in the first game he played after leaving Liverpool, I think it did clearly resonate with people unless they were booing for no reasonSuggesting it’s ruined his legacy…it hasn’t. A few months making millions in Saudi does nothing to diminish his legacy and mega successful career. Only people being disingenuous about their dislike for Saudi would make such mealy mouthed suggestions.
His legacy included the work he done in the name of diversity. It made him likable. He pissed in the face of that.Suggesting it’s ruined his legacy…it hasn’t. He has played for his hometown clubs, country, and won everything captaining Liverpool.

He certainly doesn't need the money so a small remuneration contract may be to his liking.
I’d think he got more booed for his gay stance and trying to put himself front and centre with his rainbow laces and all the rest of it then going to Muslim country where gays etc aren’t tolerated and coming out with crap like it wasn’t for the money.I'm not sure. 5kHe'd maybe be accepted by most(?) or everyone, if was to come and also apologized in some way (for his mistake of going to Saudi Arabia in the first place). Then also announce he play for us and donate his £5,000? a week salary to the Children's Hospital.
Was a way to get out of a big tax hit wasn't it?
Didn't want his lose some of his Saudi money to the tax man.
5k
We were paying league one plodders that
Aah fair enough, soz Stanley xI'd do the same to avoid paying tax
I was replying to the minimum wage he'd be paid (as he doesn't need the money) He'd still be getting zero (less that league one plodders)
Yes. Which might suggest he sullied his legacyI’d think he got more booed for his gay stance and trying to put himself front and centre with his rainbow laces and all the rest of it then going to Muslim country where gays etc aren’t tolerated and coming out with crap like it wasn’t for the money.
Pr works two ways, you can’t garner favour for one thing then take a big bag off cash moving to play in a country where it’s outlawed. He was booed more for his hypocrisy and subsequently atrocious interviews than actually taking the cash
9 games played. They finished 5th.
Not his playing legacy, hes just illustrated to the world yet again that some players are thick as whale spunk.Yes. Which might suggest he sullied his legacy
Yes they've had a terrible year. Not the best place to go but they were the only takers for someone with zero moralsIIRC Ajax were very near the bottom in the early season. Worst position they had been for years![]()
