The Clarke-Salter one doesn’t really work given he’s being linked to big money moves now.

Again, glass half full, happy clapper, whatever you want to call me, but the board/recruitment team aren’t totally daft. They’ll be able to see the same as us, we’ve went backwards & part of that is relying on young inexperienced players with little leadership in there.

Suppose the difficult part is remedying that under whatever financial boundaries they’ve set.

There'll be a dozen posts you can bump about Roberts from me for last season, I was as frustrated as anyone, but there’s a very talented player in there. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him have a very decent season next year & last year be put down to a poor show for everyone.
 
Thought he looked promising at times, I remember thinking he played well down Birmingham, was unlucky not to score. Was too in and out though to have a strong opinion.

We certainly don't need anymore young, unproven attackers, snowed under with them.

You would hope.

As the saying goes madness is doing the same thing again and again snd expecting different results.

I think most of us are against going for quality younger players but they need that bit of quality, experience and nous (not a Dack) alongside to help them develop and improve.

Chucking young kids, some of whom haven’t played a minute of football in this country and can’t speak English, in against seasoned pros in the championship without some experience alongside them wasnt and hasn’t going to end well.

The model needs tweaking.

That father figure Mowbray provided has turned out to be a major factor in what success he had here. Assuming the next head coach will be more “technically focused”, which I think is what the board wanted after the play offs, I just hope they’ve got the natural man management skills to look after younger players too.

Dack was brought in to provide that.
