Forthcoming gigs.

I saw him at arab strap at the firestation yesterday. He accused me of stalking him but i think he was just joking because he looked very relaxed on the way home and when he got in that night.
As Arab Strap gigs go, was it a good one? Rarely missed them, going back to the Newcastle Riverside days but wasn't able to make this one.

Wrong person to ask, first time seeing them. Very good though, but if you're speaking about them in hushed tones maybe i wouldn't go that far? I'm not a superfan mind, i know them and some of their songs but I'm can't really help you as far as comparing them to other gigs.. really enjoyed it though

Great gig, tight, frantic sound. Went with someone I haven't seen in 37 years but we could have spoken yesterday.
Sounds class.

Aye, I’ll pop back along when they’re next knocking about up here. I’d probably put them in the same category as when I used to go to see the Jim Jones Revue. Not a band I’d find myself listening to by myself, but live it’s a great night.

Well this week I've got Tom Meighan at independent tomorrow, Springsteen at the SOL on Wednesday, Gary Numan at City Hall on Thursday.ill probably finish off the week with Helter Skelter at peacock on Friday and 1977 at Ivy on Sunday.
Me dad is going to the Numan gig tonight and is getting to meet him beforehand.

Quite surprising to me that he does so much L&M stuff, judging from the setlists. I know they were definitely his band, rather than him being more of a joint contributor in FA, but you'd probably think FA songs would be more suited to acoustic versions - I'll give them a listen as I'm a bit intrigued (granted he doesn't do the really heavy white-boy-funk stuff, but there are still a couple in there that used to lean that way)
