9 months ago I’d have said exactly the same.Hope he doesn’t come back here. Hes already shown he’d happily bend over for the Saudis.
He certainly doesn't need the money so a small remuneration contract may be to his liking.9 months ago I’d have said exactly the same.
Hope he comes back now and plays next season. He won’t but I’d be happy if he did. Be a cracking holding midfielder for us.
Yeah maybe, I get the impression he wouldn’t want to live up here again though. He certainly doesn't need the money so a small remuneration contract may be to his liking.
That fine from me...Yeah maybe, I get the impression he wouldn’t want to live up here again though.
Think his next move will be a lifestyle thing. USA, or a lower Spanish / Italian team. Time will tell.
ThisSo has been released by Ajax? I could see him back here end his career back where it started after the past two years he could do with a good ending to a great career.
This
He has been daft going to Saudi but he is one of our own.
BHH
I don't think he's got the intelligence to recognise that.I generally agree. He is one of our own and would be stupid not to have him in some capacity at SAFC if he wanted to return.
As been said he made a ridiculous mistake getting into bed with the Saudis. He would need to recognise that and we could move on.

This, fuck himThat fine from me...
I've slagged him off enough for being two faced anyway. I personally would not want him back now anyway
This. Greedy bastardFucked off for the money and a tax fiddle, now knackered his career for a few quid he really didn't need. What a knacker
I would hope he has. He needs to disassociate himself fully from the Saudis if he has any sense.I don't think he's got the intelligence to recognise that.
Not the wisest move''Come on Saudi Arabia 2034''
Don’t be daftWhat a roaring success that Saudi move was. Ruined the end of his career, along with his overall legacy and reputation in the process. Wanker
You just need to look at the guy to know that.I don't think he's got the intelligence to recognise that.
I can't pretend (as much as others on here do) to be utterly outraged by his going to Saudi and would love to see him sign for us.

Hes always supported Rainbow laces and other campaigns. He then made a monumental fuck up, and yes everybody deserves a second chance, however, the shilling for a Saudi World cup bid whilst still being England captain was abhorrent, to me at least.
He could well have stayed in England and still made millions, he chose to make more and probably underestimated the backlash from it, but sitting there saying ''come on Saudi 2034'', na sorry thats not on.
My dad worked in Saudi for years and I've got friends working in the Middle East, I'm just not arsed in the slightestI was very disappointed he went but we’re crying out for an experienced quality midfielder who would make a difference to our team and he certainly fits our requirements.
