Visiting their brewery last year was a very special experience. Marzen served straight from the wooden barrel. Class. Its excellent.
As Dave said, they aren't big players and I've not bothered much with the core stuff. As a fan of impy stouts though they have a couple of beauties to their name. The place itself is good too. Plenty of beers on offer. Decent food too.
Thanks for info. mateVisiting their brewery last year was a very special experience. Marzen served straight from the wooden barrel. Class.
Bamberg is a brilliant little town to visit if you ever get the chance. Smoked beer mecca. Really unique beer culture, there's nowhere else like it.
In the UK it's worth keeping an eye on Torrside if you enjoyed smoked stuff. They specialise in it and they're very good.
Just in Sainsburys. 440ml can of Punk IPA is £2.50 & on 4 for 3. £1.88 a can. Does this now put them right into the mainstream mass produced category?
I'd go a step further and say that it's actually a bad IPA now. Really don't like it anymoreYes. I'd rather pay more for summat better. Something of a trailblazer in years gone by it's a bang average bland pale now.

Same. The last few times I had though I thought it was dreadful.Don't think I've had it for a long time. It'd be rare I was somewhere that sold it where there weren't better options.

Seems to be a big weekend for beer festivals. Will probably stop into Wimbledon Brewery's one tomorrow.Who’s going to the Vaux Craft Beer Festival? At the minute 5 of us are there on the Saturday night, but I expect a few with fomo to join in.
Also, just opened my last can of V. Will have time for another before I go out, debating wether to knock in another standard IPA or drink my last Double Brown Porter
This is in July mate. Just sorted tickets so it’s on my mind.Seems to be a big weekend for beer festivals. Will probably stop into Wimbledon Brewery's one tomorrow.
Couple of Chubbles in the fridge for tonight.
That Wimbledon one looks great actually, they've got some Belgian stuff on don't they? I quite liked their taproom and the beers were good too. Had a spot on saison iirc which is not very common.Seems to be a big weekend for beer festivals. Will probably stop into Wimbledon Brewery's one tomorrow.

Yeah, the Belgian stuff is what's appealing to me most. Seems fairly reasonably priced too, I think.
