You look at that squad and it should have got playoffs tbf.

But on the other hand, they're fucked financially next season aren't they as a result of FFP? Without a well-respected manager they might be in even more trouble!

I think either Southampton or West Brom are in more financial disarray if they fail in the play - offs.


 
Thought I'd pop on here as I knew there'd be a decent thread about this. At first glance it seems madness, yet with the players at his disposal, they really should have finished above Norwich, and arguably WBA. I do wonder how easy it is to rate him as a manger given the squad he's had - seems to have a decent reputation, but if he came to you, would your board back him financially, like Hull seemed to do last season? Saw on the Hull board, they are talking about Will Still too, but who knows, with their owner!
 
Just looking at Reddit and what their fans are saying really. The majority are absolutely outraged at his sacking. Ok, they brought in some quality players but they were highlighting the players they already had from the previous manager and he improved them all no end. Like night and day. Particularly the young players.
