VAR has ruined top level football.

for me mate, it was on side and a perfectly executed goal....football is not and never will be like Athletics or Motor Racing whereby split 100th's of seconds or 10th's of a millimetres are what differentiate between success and failure. Mind, O'Hares penalty was shit.šŸ˜‰
For the pens, they were already out on their feet. I'm impressed that any of them stood up to take one.

Torp, who scored the non-goal, was having to stretch out cramp during the VAR decision. He scored his pen but he shouldn't have been asked to.

Cal and Sheaf were immense in at least trying. No fan should knock them for what they did.

And thanks for the VAR consolation. Hope it does open a discussion point regarding VAR future.

But for us, it nice but ultimately doesn't matter what people think, game is over. There have been other decisions since.
It doesn’t identify anything from a single 2D image from a single camera. It doesn’t, in the sense that human perception would understand it, generate 2D images at all. It’s a 3D multi ā€œcameraā€ system. Like the goal line tech. We learnt to trust that pretty quick.

Goalline tech is not a great comparison. There's still as much debate about whether balls have crossed lines or not now as there was beforehand.

But that's why I made my last comment. Not saying this is bad. I have concerns and would like to see how it works in realtime before I pass judgment.

If they can give decisions quickly and accurately (no system is 100% perfect), it will be a positive move forward.

Anything is better than the 5 min wait for VAR to decide if there is handball, only to reach an inconclusive verdict. That one went in our favour against Wolves. It must infuriate EPL fans who put up with that regularly.

Clearly the technology isn't the problem (see rugby as the prime example) it's the muppets and conditions surrounding the technology that make it so unlikeable. All this nitpicking and drawing lines to the nth degree is just insane. Best approach should be if a decision can't be made within 30 seconds then it's simply not a clear and obvious mistake. Also, introduce the audio to public (like they do in rugby) that way the guys showing the run have to be professional as they know all eyes are on them.
