*~*~* Sunderland v Millwall match thread *~*~*

Tbf, this is always going to be the problem when you have nothing to play for- mathematically safe and unable to reach the play offs. Added to the fact it's an interim head coach, so it's not like they have anyone to impress for next season either. I don't think they literally don't care- but it's hard to match motivation to a club worried about relegation over 90 minutes.
That’s just an excuse.

Abysmal. I think that was the worst I've seen us all season. Yes, I know Blackburn was a mistake a minute. But today we lacked desire, energy, belief, ideas which was harder to stomach. Even when we went behind there was no urgency.

There was a brief spell when 'chiche came on when we looked more lively. It lasted about 3 mins then we sunk back into lethargy. The only passion we showed was over the fouls.

To think Doddsy wants the job🤣.
That football is unbelievably shocking.
Sideways, backwards, then repeat.
He’s just finding his feet. Would take us up next season with his free flowing football. Not his fault we only have defenders at the club

No matter what bollocks Speakman says. This season has been a failure. Too many piss poor players in the first team squad. Rigg was our only real talent on display today
You’re not seeing the huge improvement behind the scenes, just because we’re shite at footy.
