Depression

I disagree.

Nasty would be borrowing money from another poster, citing very, very desperate reasons, promising to pay it back on a certain date, going through the motions of paying it back by initiating a Paypal cheque which takes days to clear, then actively logging into Paypal a few days later before the cheque cleared and actively, deliberately and intentionally cancelling the cheque, and not telling the person you've cancelled the payment.

Posting this in case anyone else feels the same sympathy that I did.

Depression/MH is no excuse for dishonesty or theft.

Class mate and same with me , the gym is a get out for me , can't do much when am there ha but makes me feel so much better afterwards that I've even done a little
you just feel so much more energetic when you do a quick couple of sets before going to work, then a few later on. its something that is good for your physical and mental health even if it's just 30 minutes of intensity a day

100% right mate , I can't do half as much as I used to be able to do but it's the fact that you do feel so much better and if you get a good gym with good people in it that makes a real difference.
Closest I've felt to be back playing football like the banter and stuff and it just overall cheers you up.

Cleaned my oven on Thursday. That was some distraction technique. Took me half a day too. Didn't give me the satisfaction I thought it would but boy I enjoyed (and didn’t feel too guilty about) lying on the couch under a blanket for the rest of the day

Family’s away this weekend something came up and I had to stay, been invited out today to watch the match but thought nah having a day to myself keeping off the drink

Just feel empty

Had a family member steal some jewellery from me recently and that’s made me angry it wasn’t valuable but meant a lot to me, knocked me a little.

Anyhow hope everyone’s doing well on here

Gilly seems to get a lot of stick on here but he seems a genuine honest bloke

I have to agree, although I don't do gym, I try to play squash everyday. 40mins where I think of nothing else and feel so much better physically and mentally afterwards. The social side gets me out of the house too talking to people which helps enormously too. When I'm on a real downer I stop going and things just spiral downwards so need to force myself to go to drag me out of the pit I end up in.

Hope you feel a bit better later mate and don't know Gilly personally but he seems to be a nice bloke from everything that he posts.

I'm sad that a fellow member and sufferer has had to delete their account because of the actions of a few on this thread, i'm very disappointed

If ya reading this mate, i loved our banter about the club media and i hope you're ok and in time you return to the board

Thanks for that mate, I am a good bloke .

I also like telling people where the go wrong and speak my mind/ give my opinion. Hence the stick which I quite enjoy tbh as I stand by everything I say.
