CC : Durham v Hampshire

Our lawn was waterlogged even before last night's rain. It's been a wet spring.
Same here, been out brushing excess water where it's puddled up as our garden on a bit of a slope.

But with the forecast as it was they could have had the outfield covered following on from the Uni game last weekend.

Seems to be a reluctance to do it in the UK, even though they cover the entire outfield in Sri Lanka/Bangladesh.

Surely the cost of having such covers outweighs the cancellations when the rainy weather comes throughout the season.

Busy day at work this morning. Just managed to get 5 minutes to see the score and find there's no play today.

Disappointing but not entirely unexpected.

just back
Why couldn’t they decide this at10 30 and drag the matter on
On the prospect of the weather being good for.the rest of the day I know
Folk who have paid for a full days parking which was totally wastedereter
We are just back in. Watching North and Campbell during the last pitch inspection they spent a lot of time looking at the bowlers run ups. Wonder if that was where the issue was.

If it was only the bowler's run ups, how about putting down some pieces of artificial turf over the top, if they won't make any effort tp protect the surface in the days before the match.

They seem to find loads of reasons why things can't be done or just can't be arsed. I wonder what will be done in the week running up to the ODI v Australia if rain is forecast.
