Don't renew

I got my 1st season ticket in 1990 and bar 1 year early 00s when I had no job, I've had 1 ever since. In that time, bar a couple seasons under Reid, we've been mainly in the championship or struggling to survive in top division. I get people are frustrated etc, but we've been pretty much similar too now most my life. Why should I now not buy a season ticket?

Going to get a few extra season cards to help out the club considering some are jacking it in.
Funny as it may be to some on here, I am actually getting an extra season card to save money on the tickets that I buy when my kids come home.
I am renewing mine because it has always been about more than the footy and as I have been going for over 63 years, it is not about expecting to see dazzling football every week.

Owners have f**ked up on lots of issues but they are keeping the club afloat.

Thinking about investing lots on older heads and chucking money around, ask the supporters of Derby, Wigan and others how that can pan out.

Can anyone tell me how we will ever be able to get past the parachuted clubs, get up and then not having the same type of season that Sheff Utd or Burnley are having this season.

Saudi ownership anyone?

Anyone not renewing is entitled to do as they please but forcing these owners out and them being replaced by someone with a bottomless pit of cash just because a few folk don't renew their season cards....give me a break.

To renew or not renew. That is the question.
If people just want time with friends and family that is their prerogative.
If people want to watch a moderately successful team in the EPL then not renewing is probably the way to go as it will either convince the current owner(s) to either invest or sell up.
Personally you would be able to find much easier and cheaper ways to meet with friends and family than pay for a season ticket

I agree and I see both perspectives but I don’t understand getting riled about the decisions of others
Agree totally m8, either way, there’s outrage at those renewing and outrage at those that aren’t, you’d think people would just let others have an opinion that isn’t the same as theirs and respect it wouldn’t you? But no seems that somebody’s got to be up in arms about something these days or the day hasn’t got a “y” in it.

I've had a season ticket 29 years , including paying full whack to watch online during covid.
I often (nearly always) get use of complimentary tickets and I only kept my ticket on for the away points.

I liked to give my season ticket out to friends but going digital made that tougher.

Had the club done NOTHING in early December I would have renewed again - however, they sacked a manager I liked to employ a donut, got shot of experienced players and ballsed up the Derby up big time.

When the club commit to a good manager I might commit to season ticket .

Putting the garbage football aside I find our match day experience the worst part of the day.

The SoL feels like a crumbling lifeless dump and has for quite some time. It really goes hand in hand with what we see on the pitch.

I continued going under much worse circumstances, IE. Donald/Methven era, Wilko, Parky, relegation record low points. Absolutely no reason to stop going now.

Got an email saying I haven’t canceled fully, but actually renewed the two adult season tickets and not the kids ones, which is strange. Don’t know what’s went on there? Email sent anyways. I really want to renew, but sick of these owners taking the piss out of the fans, and the BCB debacle alone has soured it for me. The club is soulless currently, and that shows in the atmosphere. God knows why they don’t open a few gates at Half-time and have bar’s outside to ease the congestion and change the beer selections etc. There’s so many easy wins for the club to make, but they don’t want to listen to the most important people - The Fans.

I'm renewing. I would delay it if I thought it would do anything but I don't wanna lose my seat. I enjoy going to the match with my wife and enjoy chatting to the guy I sit next to. Plus when my wife can't go I go with my dad and its just about the only time it's just me and him.
