Forthcoming gigs.

Just bought tickets for Shed Seven end of November at Newcastle City Hall. 30th Anniversary Tour
They are playing The Globe at Stockton a week later, so I might double up

After a slow start to the year I’ve got

Baxter dury - glass house
Ferocious dog - fire station
Arab strap - Firestation
Springsteen - stadium
Kubix - Herrington
All points east (lcd pixies etc) London
Then hop on euro star for rock the Seine (lcd and pj Harvey)
Peter hook - fire station
Undertones - fire station
Tom Robinson - fire station

Tremendous that most are in Sunderland, never known anything like it. Can’t afford to look at gigs in Newcastle now spending so much in the town.

The Stairs last night were fantastic, Edgar Jones an amazing, melodic bassist and super vocalist. O2 Islington an odd shopping centre venue. Support band were canny, very 'maximum r 'n' b' Who/Yardbirds/Action (no bad thing), but I couldn't hear their name properly and the lead singer/harmonica man wore a deerstalker hat

Mind, in my 20+ years of regular gig going, there’s never ever been as much in Sunderland.

My mate suggested doing a Sunderland only gig year. It didn’t get off the ground, because you’re cutting your nose off f***ing off the likes of the Cluny, but I reckon I could do 50 Sunderland gigs in a year of bands that I’d want to see regardless

Although there's not much for me here at present, hopefully in the future maybe. A good venue for talks, acoustic stuff possibly?

Think I'm going to do this. Probably on me own as cant think of anyone who'd be game, they're a bit on the weird side. But i enjoy them
Best to go solo in cases like these. I hate spending the gig wondering whether the person I've convinced to come is enjoying it. Can't see an AS gig being the best environment to introduce someone unfamiliar with their outpit.

Aye. Ive no issues going to gigs on me own, especially somewhere like the firestation. Can just rock up, sit and chill with a beer enjoy the music and leave.

Aye, went the other day for a work thing. Some of the lads are popping down for a folk singer thing, think I’ll get tickets for Old Time Sailors there.

SUNN O))) at the boiler shop next week
NEW MODEL ARMY also at the b.s. next month . Haven't seen them since Tiffany's nearly 40 year ago. I believe in justice , I believe in vengeance, I believe in getting the bastards , getting the bastards!!!
Then in April >>>
BELL WITCH at brudenell in Leeds
Might go to A Certain Ratio .
Wanted to see Pissed Jeans but it's sold out:rolleyes:

Good to hear.Seeing them next week.Cannot wait!

Reports anyone, how was echo and the bunnymen?

Mr Ben and the bens were great as always, good to see pop recs busy as I've seen them before in there and it was pretty empty.

Really well supported by nano kino, if that's how you spell it.

They were fantastic. Put on a really good show and the bairn and me thoroughly enjoyed it. The Killing Moon is one of my fave songs.

Mental amount of smoke! My contact lenses ended up feeling gritty and I had to hold a hot flannel on my eyes when I got up this morning 😊

Going to see The Hives next week. They're mad and I love them!

You’re smashing the gigs in at the minute aren’t you?!
