SoL To Undergo Multi-Million-Pound Investment Programme

Seriously? Jesus even the shilliest of the club shills can’t seriously stick up for them with a straight face. The regime must really think the ST holders are as thick as shit. I’d be insulted if I was still one tbh.
Aye, you'd expect the investments to be released in the supporters collective minutes. The fact they've put them out today, which just happens to coincide with season ticket renewals, must be calculated. Which is fine by me tbh, if they've got something positive to share, get it out there. As long as it happens, it's good, and it's not the end of them improving

its smoke and mirrors mate but as a start!its just about one!............much much more needs doing but fixing the leaks fixing the toilets and generally cleaning and painting the stadium would be the minimum that should be done and it doesnt need a parade or fanfare or a PR exercise!
This. There's sometimes 2-3 weeks between home games. They could easily carry out basic repairs in this time. Can be done gradually. The club then should come out and say what they've done rather than "will do"

But that said, surely in the spirit of being open they'd have mentioned it to the fans group beforehand?

"As part of the continued upkeep of the stadium, the Club will also be engaging with the Supporters’ Collective to undertake a walkaround of the facility to identify any outstanding maintenance points to ensure they are addressed as part of the Club’s summer improvement programme."

I thought they already did this?

Great timing from the club just before ST renewals.
That's the vibe I'm getting. I'm all for investment into the stadium. Long long overdue. But I'm the same. I thought they had fan walk around ages ago though, with all the issues raised?
And without sounding negative, why does it need the fans to go round the stadium with them to point all the faults? Do Tesco's ask their customers to walk around the store with them to tell them what needs fixing? No, you do it yourself. Or are we saying that the people I'm charge of Safc haven't walked around the stadium on match day?

Anyway, the safe standing area is a great idea mind.

It's something younger supporters in the main think is important. They'd rather post on Instagram than dry their hands after going to the toilet
I just generally accept in a big crowd you’re not likely to get good signal. Was at the 02 in London for John Mayer last night and couldn’t get signal there.

To be fair it's things like arranging a half time pint with a mate in a different stand, telling your mates on the other side of the stadium that a few of you are going into town afterwards if they fancy joining, it's receiving a message from someone watching at home about a controversial penalty, checking bets at half time, checking other scores that are important to the context of our match etc.

5G connectivity will be great. :)

Well they are in luck at the SOL as a lot of the hand dryers don't work anyway. ;)
That was the point of my post

Ever heard of text? The majority of older supporters won't use it, but if it's not us paying and in improvement its a benefit to all

ST renewals due = timing of this announcement. Am I being cynical ?
Does everyone genuinely think this will happen immediately ?
To be fair they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

If they put the news out of a £35 increase or whatever with no improvements people would be complaining about paying more when the stadium isn’t being kept up to standard
