*~*~* Sunderland v Hull match thread *~*~*

This despite losing to them I enjoyed our performance that night, aggressive on the front foot, compare that to tonight’s performance, like night and day with the same squad of players 🤔
exactly- we might need a couple in the window, but this squad has the ability to play so much better than that turgid shite

Peddle out the same crap, you will get the same results.
Our balls in to the box are shocking.
Bellingham must have some nudie pics of KLD or Speakman.
Sunday league teams have centre forwards that score. We are heading towards 2 seasons without a decent one on the pitch.
Things are taking a very sharp decline and turning toxic quick.

Your fans are decent. You simply cannot carry on with that majority wanting the Manager out. Clearly a headless moment in appointing him.
Sadly most won’t accept him now even with a few wins.
Tough decision Mate but it’s a wrong one.

My Eldest lad’s Mate Dad is a Rangers Supporter. He actually laughed when you appointed him.

Your Board have one massive decision to make.

You still have some talented players mind, need some experience, a decent central midfielder and a centre forward.

keep that head up Mate 👍
This, there's seemingly no way back for Beale at this point. Like you said, even if we string together a run, I have a hard time believing the majority of the supporters will ever want him in.

Dodds and Beale out the door. Will Still and his team in. Would they be successful? Dunno. Would they be worse? Helluvah unlikely...
The French newspaper L’Equipe said that ‘although interested Sunderland were not prepared to pay even one euro in compensation’ for Still. Small time shite.

I always thought the kids and development idea was a good idea, but we ran it too close to the bone in L1 and a month of cracking transfers in January and blind luck with Neil got Speakman and Dreyfuss out of jail in L1.

Last season the quality we had, a few choice signings and the stability we had from Neil's influence alongside the attacking flair we had put together, alongside a once in 20 years loan with Amad meant Neil leaving and putting Mowbray in charge was either inspired or lucky as - you decide on that.

But January 2023 transfers and decisions onwards, barring maybe Ekwah have been really poor and questionable. On a case by case basis you can make a case for several of the signings - but that's always been so. In terms of what we've needed for the first team and the impact that's had in the squad its abysmal. Yeah Beale clearly isn't up to it, but he's hamstrung as Mowbray has been, he just doesn't have the knowledge or ability.

Can anyone even make an effort to convince me this team likes this coach?

We were never the fastest but we’ve lost a yard and have no guts or direction. That comes from the man in charge and whether that’s Beale or Speakman we’ve lost it.

We need to play a faster game but we haven't any fast players unless you count Clarke who is constantly double marked.
Poor rusyn looked shell shocked on the bench, must be tough not speaking the lingo, and getting your point across, bit like being Def n dumb in a brothel

This for me was why I didn't want Tony to go.

We've had dozens of shit managers in my life, a few good ones, but hardly any spells of consistently enjoyable football win, lose or draw. We had that with Mowbray, and a gent to boot.

People who wanted him out are getting what they deserve TBH.
the results were just as bad as this chancer - but granted, the footbll was ok - 70% possession, 20 shots and no goals
