Yann M'vila - target or not?


Surely these stories are simply fan fantasy and I loved him while he was here?

Why would Sunderland be interested in him in particular as no one currently running the club will have had anything to do with the lad when he was here 7 or 8 years ago? So, what fuels any thought of suggesting we go after him.

Not really comparable with Defoe who managed 2 games in the season prior with Rangers.

MVilla been playing 50 games a season including ten or so in Europe so a much higher level than any of our players have ever played.

Might not work out of course but he'd be coming in from a far better starting point than Defoe did.

He’s a good few year younger as well
 
He has spent the last 3 seasons playing in a shit league. The standard is lower than the Championship. He will be 34 this year. I thought he was pretty good at Sunderland but nothing amazing. We should be looking at better than this.
 
After watching Williams boss West Ham last night, imagine just how good Yann would be in this league if he still has it.

Well what is wrong with what I've said? The standard he has been playing is lower than the Championship. He is old. Have you been watching him play like? Oh aye. Just go get Yann coz he was once canny good for Sunderland like. And you call me clueless

The Greek League is like the SPL not a great standard he’s been playing at

Would love him to come back and still be quality got a massive feeling if he does it’ll be a big let down
 
Seen a few say he’d be another Defoe because he’s 33… Defoe was 39 and had spent 18 months as an irregular sub up at Rangers. Yann has played over 30 games in each of his last 3 seasons, including European football and is of the same age as Cory Evans who everyone says we are missing. Be an excellent signing imo. Brilliant football who wears his heart on his sleeve.
