We did our bit

I know it’s fantasy land but that other thread on about moving the away fans downstairs has got me thinking of what it would be like to have a full display in the north stand including the upper

Would love one of those mad 3D banners suspended from the roof you see at Dortmund but I’d imagine the club would have a fit at that suggestion

@Guinness Guzzler could RAWA not try resurrect this

Everything’s in place to keep going and RAWA would surely get the backing
I'll be honest, after seeing what the lads have had to go through, both with the club throwing obstacles in their way and little arseholes on Twitter accusing them of theft, I'm not sure any would want to try and somehow find the additional time to organise it all on top of day jobs and the normal rawa stuff. Also think other (without being disparaging of my fellow rawa board members, probably younger!) lads and lasses would likely have more passion for all the design side of it and be more in tune with that side of football culture. I could ask the question like, but I'm pretty certain I know what they'd say! Hope others do take it on though, and rawa would no doubt be happy to help raise awareness etc

We tried to arrange for a site survey by the rope access people. It was a free survey. Club never came back with a date.

Typical mate, knowing the state of the roof the thing would probably cave in haha

Heard today that the club gave instructions to stewards and police that absolutely no anti Saudi flags were to be allowed in the ground .
To be expected from KLD after the debacle of everything else .
One was showed near me P24 right next to the mags , never seen coppers move so fast

Heard wrong m8, it was police advice about racism and inciting violence I am told, not club, or specifically not kld, but I suppose club employees (stewards) were briefed.
KLD's reputation finished
lol, sure a couple of billion will ease the pain

I’ve been vocal in not being a fan of the displays and tifos etc but have gone along with the displays as the majority like them, that’s a democracy.

However I’m big enough to admit that the displays have brought something to the games.

I’m also big enough to admit that the way the lads who volunteer to do these displays have been treated abysmally by the club.

Whilst I may have reservations about the displays etc, I feel like I have no option but to agree with the lads who do it and condemn the club for the way they have been treated and the obstacles that they have faced.

I am in the minority in not being a fan but that does not condone what the club have done at all and respect to the lads for trying to bring something extra to the games.

Inciting violence means an offence of encouraging another to commit violence, so it's clearly nothing to do with that

Have to say, ive not been on here much this week due to not wanting to have my day ruined by negativety. Ive scanned through a few pages of this thread and dont really have an idea of whats been happening. I thought the display, as usual, was f***ing fantastic and added a special atmosphere to the opening of the match. Anyone involved should feel incredibly proud of themselves and the way the have went out of their own way to improve the matxhday experience, for TENS OF THOUSANDS.

Im aware of a few derogatory comments regards the money spent etc, which i think is insulting to those involved and completely unneccesary, however im not aware of anything regards the club and how theyve treat those involved. This is likely due to my ignorance of certain threads on here. Genuine question, whats been going on?

I'm sure but he's still finished here.
He’ll be finished when he decides he is. He’s the owner. He can sit in France with the club up for sale and never show his face again.

If he does decide to get out, he’ll sell to who ever comes up with the most money. I doubt there would be a long queue of buyers the fans would approve of.

Far more likely to be someone far less interested in football than he is and far more interested in flipping the club or buying it with leveraged debt.

Any sale would take months of due diligence with the current owner unlikely to fund anything but minimal running costs.

We will attract a string of chancers purporting to represent hidden consortiums. The vermin of the game. Just like last time.

And, just like under short, a rushed sale would be an unmitigated disaster for Sunderland in all probability.

That’s the fact of the matter. And yet, that’s what so many profess to want, apparently in the best interests of the club.
