I do mate, but having had the experience he has had at Tottenham I personally feel he might be enjoying his football and I do think we are not dealing with some dumb arse young witless wonder. Jack will go when he is ready and hopefully that won't be for a quite while yet.
..or he wants to prove to Tottenham that letting him go was a mistake and wants to prove he can play at the highest level...which is what will happen. No way would he turn down West Ham to stay here. Simple as mate.

How much are we gonna make on Alese and Ekwah like? Injuries and inconsistencies make those figures up in the air at this stage. If this did happens I'd prefer an uncomplicated cash deal (or they can chuck Bowen or Paqueta in if they want)

it's clever as fuck from West Ham. they know our leadership's love of the model will mean they'll jump all over this proposal thinking it's brilliant business

Id sell him if the price is right tbh. We need to invest in the squad elsewhere and winger is a position there's plenty of players out there tbf

They’ve already made themselves very clear they aren’t going to put anything in.

Sustainable and all that
We aren't going to be sustainable in the championship for long at least not sustainable and successful. Might as well bring in a few players in advance knowing you already have players you could sell if it doesn't work out and give yourself a better chance of promotion.

They've clearly already put money in, I'm not a huge fan but before Stewart left our last played sold for money was George Honeyman and we've clearly spent money within those time frames.

There is no way I want Clarke to leave but if we could get the likes of Stansfield , Lowe and a defensive centre mid in his place , I would accept that . That is how the model should work so let’s see.
Stansfield didn't fancy moving north previously so not sure he'd be interested now.

Seems a bit of a daft approach to me, unless the owners aren't prepared to put anything in. They would be better building on a team with saleable assets already in it imo.
We have to in order to get around FFP, unfortunately. The 'allowable' losses per year amounts to 4 or so players at £2-3m over a breakeven point. To spend more than that needs a windfall of some sort.

Edit: not that I want Clarke to go or owt

He would probably treble (if not more) his wages if he went and he’d be playing with top players. One great season and he could even push to get called up for England. People probably doubted that about Bowen when he went there.

Obviously don’t want him to go but could see why it would be a good move for him.
And who does he get in front of for England Foden, Rashford, Grealish, Maddison Sterling 🫢

What days them were mate. Me and my mates would sit for days on end in my mates room playing that. I was always QPR, few others were Villa n my cousin was Blackburn. WATTBA!! Great memories. Andy Impey n Les Ferdinand were my star players..alongside Penrice. :cool:

Fantastic days !! Do you remember Brian Cloughs football fortunes, Emlyn Hughes soccer, Football Director, The Double .....Tracksuit manager, FA Cup football?

Getting all nostalgic now 😄
