Henderson (prediction)

It's not about me, it's about Henderson, but if I was in his position, I would certainly get what I could while I could play.

Without limits?

Let’s say you’re 21. The best player in the world. Would you leave Real Madrid to play in front of 500 people for double the money? You’ll have no legacy, you’ll be an afterthought

Do you care?

If you read what I said "in his position". He's been there done it got the t-shirt, he's been a success. I don't think anyone would leave real at 21 but we aren't talking about him being in the situation at the age of 21 . He's in the twilight of a very successful career. If some club is going to offer you 700k a week, you would take it. I would 100%

At least you have a line

I wouldn’t

I believe he seems desperate to be back over here to make the euros squad and would gan to them in a heartbeat. He tossed any standards out the window when he sold himself to the blood money you think he'd be bothered upsetting a few Sunderland fans?.
It wouldn't upset me at all. I have no desire to have him back, even as a guest.
Newcastle is the perfect fit for him. I'm not sure they'd want him, though!

Absolutely, everyone would've done the same in his position in my opinion.

Been told he's not good enough for years and years, finally got a contract that will set him and his family up for generations.
Speak for yourself. I wouldn't have done.

Also, remember this isn't the same as one of us clinching a life-changing opportunity (I still wouldn't have taken the blood money by the way). He was already a multi-millionaire who claimed to feel strongly about human rights and LGBT+ stuff. Then threw it all away for the money from a terrorism-supporting regime.
i think the majority would soon change their opinion if he came back and started performing.
He is a hypocrite but who isn’t when offered the sums of money the Saudis throw around .
I think posts like this say more about the persons posting them than anybody else.

Very easy to post stuff like this when there is absolutely no possibility that you will bet be placed in that position.

Perhaps, but integrity is very important to me. Most of the people I know are better cricketers, footballers, dancers, more successful with women, have better jobs, nicer houses and better cars.

However I am top table with integrity. I’m 100% certain I wouldn’t take the blood money. He would have other other options, including retiring with an absolute fortune already do amassed.

At least those who would take the blood money without any worries are honest about that, which is credible I suppose.

Just shows that he would join Newcastle instead of come back to Sunderland

He could just come back home & help the club get back to the premier league

If he wants to try and get ready for the Euros, to potentially play in 2/3 games while England bow out in the group stages then fair enough. Or he could go to a mid table prem club like Newcastle to have one maybe two more years at the top level. Or he could go somewhere shit, try and drag them up a division and build something and leave a legacy.

Shame to think a Farra lad had it all, won all the big trophies, became a role model to millions, and sold out for the blood money.

But he can redeem himself.
