We did our bit

Has the club pulled the plug on the group or the group decided to stop? I’ve seen a lot of stuff over social media. Some questions asked about the cost and reusing apparently “old” stuff from past displays. Some of the stuff hasn’t made pleasant reading with personal insults back and forth.

Whatever people’s thoughts on what a display looks like it’s a shame on the people who spend a lot of their free time setting them up etc

Iam like many on here and we’ll into my fifth decade of watching this team.
Back in the 70s you could rely on the fans only to make the atmosphere. It was a harsher male environment gradually over time the experience has become more family oriented and less tribal.

Atmosphere at games rarely hits the peaks of those days. However you and your team have found a way to bring theatre and drama to the match, to fuel the atmosphere, to publicly display pride every week in our club, our team our history. To add value to the experience of attending the match above just watching it on a stream.

I for one am proud of the fellow fans whose passion drives them to do this work. I think the club massively under estimates the work and the benefits it brings the club.

I fear that unless there is a big reset by KLD, faith in the owners and loyalty to the team is going to start being compromised.

It’s one thing after another, pure incompetence or arrogance, which ever it’s going to start alienating a lot of people. It will start with the pay as you go supporters and follow on with season ticket holders. I can see us being 5000 people a match down with year on year official attendances this time next season .
 
i used to work at the same place as her years ago. she is a Sunderland fan just a massive attention seeker. like most on twitter. desperate for likes and attention. and the irony of having one of SO37s displays as her profile background :lol:

Except it did though. It was accepted and signed off. The club then waited until money was donated and collected before pulling it (not the first time) and then left the SO37 lads open to the abuse they got as well as the accusations of stealing the money.

To add insult to injury, once the lads had spent two days seating out the display, the club media team ran in with a photographer (including the drone image from RJX) and posted the designs without any sort of credit to SO37 basically passing it off as their own work. They then spent the next day doin the same. Again without any credit to the lads who did it.

They stitched them up, let them receive an orchestrated attack, then took credit for the entire display. It’s a pretty vile way to treat the lads who have spent so much time and effort doing what they have to benefit the football club.

No wonder they’ve sacked it off.

I don't follow her now but can remember years ago she use to love dropping in she was single and well a bit lonely. Use to embarrassing seeing people fawn over her. An absolute embarrassment of a social media account. You got to be proper vile to be hoying out accusations the way she has benn doing

I dont think so. There were a few around me saying stuff along the lines of ‘is that what we get for £15,000’ I was completely under-whelmed myself. But having said that the pyros & red n white smoke bombs at the start were absolute class & if that come out of the 15k then I can see the argument for where the money went

Have you not seen the actual invoice posted further up this thread.

The problem is people have an opinion when they have no idea what things actually cost.

Sorry to keep tagging you but it's pretty clear this isn't about the display itself. Seems to all be people that doesn't like the club being criticised and are orchestrating am attack on the displays/SO37 to try and silence you's.
