We did our bit


It was a proper stadium football feeling, to bad the result didn't go our way, it will take me a week before I get happy again. Not even close to the feeling I had when we lost 5 - 1.

There's not a single group on the planet that opens up to the floor on designs. It's not feasible. There's no time to waste going back and forth with thousands of people. We've got a team of volunteers (in a whatsapp group), have had a Telegram channel of over 100 people since the draw was made and our own Whatsapp group. I left all those groups as a result of the club's interference last season and only rejoined the lads to help with this display but three groups consisting of over 150+ is more engagement than any tifo group on the planet is likely to give out. These things don't have the "wow" factor if everyone on the planet has seen what's planned before it happens. I don't think it's unfair that the lads that are spending hours and hours on dealing with suppliers, dealing with the club ( :lol: ), mapping out potential ideas on excel, organising teams of 100s of people, organising deliveries to the stadium, taking time off work to put everything out etc etc get to decide what we're going to do.

Take Tuesday for instance. I spent the entire day (9am - 6.30pm) at my mate's flat in Sunderland drawing letters onto material and carefully cutting them out. We were expecting a delivery of 39,800 items to the SOL and had people on standby all day to drop everything and race over when we got an arrival time. Material eventually arrived at 4.30pm which was later than expected so the group that had planned to receive the delivery had to change and someone else volunteered to jump on the bus and get there instead. They then spent over an hour moving the material off the palet and shipping it off to all corners of the ground ready for the following day. That's one day's activities from 6 years of doing this.

The day arrives after close to 20 hours graft for members of the group and volunteers and the reaction from some is "£17k for that?!"

Please ignore anything that any of these wankers are saying on social media about it. It was a great display, especially within the time constraints and the "input" from KLD at the last minute, especially for a group of lads who have families, jobs and lives to be getting on with as well. Not like other clubs who have departments paid to do this for a living.

Don't get your heads down about it - I thought it was absolutely excellent and the only people who should be ashamed about anything yesterday are Davison and KLD frankly, for their part in some shambolic scenes.

The display was excellent when I seen it when I got home (couldn't see a thing from beneath it at the time!) and you lads did the club proud.

Frankly KLD, Davison and the other arseholes at our club don't deserve groups like yourselves

I'd love someone involved in the display to take wankers like this to court. Do people actually realise baseless allegations online is a criminal offence?

If it’s who I think it is she went viral around Covid time or just before with a man hating speech on tik tok or something and ended up in The Sun or something and has been trying ever since to raise her profile off the back of it. Firstly with more men hating stuff that progressed on to being a huge Sunderland fan who watches on the tv.

Fair do's. I'd just like to see what would actually happen if someone called it out. Journalists across the country clearly are terrified of putting anything into print calling it out. Pundits on TV totally ignore it. Yesterday was our chance to stand up and be counted but the club had no intention of sticking it's head above the parapet.

But I disagree that anything would have happened on the back of it. I don't understand how it possibly could have

Hopefully all the ones complaining will now create a group themselves to create their own displays for £500 and not encounter any of the problems all you lot have had with the club.

More chance of the FA letting us replay yesterday’s game.
 
That’s all Twitter has turned into now, some lass pretending to like football says summit controversial and all the single dads get horny and will fight to the death to protect her and her claims. The mags are rife with it as well.

I think she's now deleting the accusation posts since the invoice has been posted on here. Absolutely shitting herself now. So easy to delete a tweet instead of backing up your accusation.

Also that Luke lad saying "stealing out money" yet goes onto say "glad I didn't donate anything". They don't realise it's the likes of them and social media that is what is wrong with society in this day and age. Absolute cesspit is Twitter and FB.
