North Stand

I’ve got a feeling I’ve forgoften about more matches than you’ve probably been to in fairness.

However the OP and you are letting emotions override the legalities of the situation . As a season ticket holder you don’t have a lot of rights if you can be bothered to check , it’s weighted in the clubs favour.

Let the OP or others who’ve cried for compensation come back and inform us how much they get , I think it’ll be a nice round figure.

For the record I’ve had the same seats in the west stand since day one at the SOL , and if they had to move me from my regular seat for one or more cup matches I’d not be that concerned as long as I got another seat.
Yeah but you sound like you have no friends mate so wouldn’t bother you being moved. Like I said, the clubs communication was awful and many season ticket holders struggled to get seats together in phase 2. Just because it doesn’t bother you doesn’t mean thousands were not rightly angry about the handling

Yeah but you sound like you have no friends mate

Don’t know how you’ve come to that assumption , but you’ve nailed it.

But crack on with the emotional aspect of the argument , it seems to be feeding your anger well.

Yesterday was just rubbing salt into an already open wound for many of us. Season ticket holders in the North Stand have been particularly treated terribly by the club they love. Not just the fact our seats were given to that lot but also the communication by the club was awful, then the phase 2 leftover ticket allocation and then the black cats bar redecoration was the final straw.

I will not renew my season ticket in that stand again and will move elsewhere. I suggest others consider this too. Fans there have been treated appallingly by the club. Made to feel that they don’t give a shite about us. Never felt this angry towards the club in my life. Totally let down
Completely agree with you but if all ST holders have that opinion of yours in the North stand the owners will only move away fans there permanently. Will give them easy solution to a problem

Disagree with this, the South stand is our home end now whether people like it or not. Why would you want to move the most vocal area of the ground where all the twats sit (stand) and where are all these twats going to go? To the North stand or into the family area? I'm sure the people already sitting there will appreciate kids on coke next to them.

Eh? The north stand was the original home end. It was designed to be that way. The south stand have the police control box behind it and cells for the purpose trouble could be
You probably can’t remember but the South west corner was so popular for being so close to the away fans and it generated atmosphere that resonated around the ground , which other areas of the ground competed with.
It was certainly preferable to the away fans being placed in the top tier allowing them to throw objects on the home fans below.
They’ve reinvented the wheel putting them upstairs and caused the problems since

It’s all relatively simple to understand.

By purchasing a season ticket you accept the terms and conditions, which state you had no right to have the same seat for an FACup match.

You got the chance of another seat , that’s all you’re entitled to.

90 minutes in a different seat , but you want an apology and compensation.

Bearing in mind that the early rounds of the cups in general, thousands of season ticket holders don’t bother turning up anyway , which would have been the case if we’d played a lower league club.

Compensation ? , take the club to court then If you dont get what you want.

We have some morons sat in amongst us every week.

The absolute state of this.

our support is soft as f***ing shite.

@Bailes I used to have a great season ticket sear the north stand but got kicked out when away fans were moved and the BCB seats changed.

It was annoying especially as I spent a season with the charvers in the south stand but I got over it.

If I'd lost my seat in the NW corner yesterday for the derby I'd have been irritated but asking for compensation or a gesture is ott imo.

You still managed to go?

Having away fans downstairs defo brought on the other parts of the ground, like NEC & NWC with fans standing and roaring on the players

Atmosphere generated from all parts of the ground was good to see instead of just a few blocks at the back of the south stand
I don’t think you can really say that when it was a derby and the first one for so many years.

If it was Preston at home with the few away fans being downstairs and the atmosphere was brilliant then fair enough, but under the circumstances the atmosphere should have been great no matter what

You talk about legalities, just because something can be done from a legal standpoint doesn't mean it has to be.

This especially when it means accommodating your nearest rivals.

Exactly

Hardly after any money pal. Just a gesture to apologise for the inconvenience to be honest. Something that shows the club, while they make out like there wasn't any choice but to shift us, here's a 30% off at the club shop. Something small that might have had fans feeling at least a bit appreciated.

Every Newcastle gan got a free scarf yesterday. While some wil think it's just a scarf. It's their club looking after their 6k fans and being thankful
Sela scarves.

Plenty of STs don’t turn up to league games anyway
Yesterday we had 39k SAFC
We had more against Preston as they count all the STs anyway
We probably had an actual crowd of 37000 v Preston which by my reckoning 5k STs did not go

Where do you sit every match pal ? Had your season ticket long ? Wonder how you would have reacted had it been your season ticket. How you would have reacted had the club treated you like shit?

I'm on the fence whether to renew at all, that's how much it's impacted me. Newcastle fans were getting exclusive f***ing gifts for buying BCB tickets man. And what do I get for pouring hundreds into the club every season , not just a one off like those idiot Newcastle fans ? I get absolutely fuck all. I get kicked out of my seat, I get fuck all in way of an apology, no way or compensation. Just absolutely nothing.

Sorry I tell a lie, if I wanted to sit in a £36 seat I would've got a £4 discount. Massive.

The caring club that looks after it's fans. Shameful
I find these fans a bit strange like, the I'm ok lot. It's the same with the digital stuff and our older fans. The amount of stick those people got on here when the dared not have an NFC phone or a digital footprint. It's a sign of modern society, the unwillingness to put yourself in someone elses shoes, or straight up fuck everyone else I'm ok jack attitude pisses me off. I'm all digital and in a Southstand SC holder but If been pissed off with both of these things because it's effected people just like me putting money into the club etc.

Nufc sold bonds to fans years ago for £500 that “guarenteed” a seat. When the expanded the corporate areas they moved these fans (some of the most hardcore and vocal at the time) from the Milburn / Leazes corner to elsewhere.

The fans challenged it in court and the judge whilst sympathetic says that nothing guaranteed anyone to a particularly seat just “a seat”.

It’s horrible and I have sympathy for your fans who got moved. But the clubs don’t care and it’s not illegal . Fans of ours got moved for CL games to accommodate UEFA official sponsors. £££ will always win unfortunately.

Need to move the away fans back to the south stand, like the stadium was designed for. Get rid of this daft idea of the “roker end” and have the seats next to it as match day sales only. It can be scaled up too. It worked when Hartlepool brought 9000. Bring back SWC corner as the most partisan area……
It’s such a shame there’s been short term gain appeasing nufc for a one off game. Although it may have been a bit money spinner, it should be considered against the longer impact of displeasuring the core fanbase.
Sadly just like Ballard did, the club have scored an own goal.
Get the crazy corner back, the atmosphere was immense and some of the loudest I've heard. The noise is nowhere near as loud since the clowns in the short era changed the stadium layout around.

Last few words sums it up nicely.

Its all about the wedge.

Exactly the swc corner started the atmosphere off, other areas followed

It’s never been right since they moved upstairs

I think the original ad for the season card had your seat in the wording not a seat which I guess could be challenged in court. It's all down to wording. However no doubt the club will be well covered in the t&C's nee one reads.
