We did our bit

That's the figure I've seen quoted multiple times for how much the display cost.

I'd have gone just for the south stand and forgone the rest of the stadium as I think full stadium displays take away from the atmosphere rather than add to it. What we had was decent but my point was a) £17k is a lot of money and I (and others) don't think there was value there and b) it's okay to call that out without being told you're less of a fan...

Of course it's okay to have an opinion but if your going to say you could have spent it better then then say how. These things aren't easy to organise in a short space of time especially when the club itself is fighting against you.

Maybe one giant surfer for the south stand would have been nice but was there enough time to design one, get it agreed by the club, get it manufactured and delivered in time over Xmas ? Maybe that's why we didn't see one

When I got to my seat and saw the bin liner I thought it was shite. When I saw it lifted, I thought it looked ace. Well done SO37 👍👍

Tremendous effort from fans giving their time to organise. However, I hate pointless plastic and didnt like the thousands of plastic bags to hold up, the red and silver in south stand wasnt great either. A flag or 2 or R&W scarves would have been more effective.
Bellingham geeing up the Sunderland fans behind the goal. Boiled my piss today.

Sort yourself out first. The fans did their bit, he was the one that needed a gee up. Poor today.
He does it all the time, Fletcher got dogs abuse for doing it. We all doing our best, up to you players to do it rather than cuppin ya lugs or wavin your arms.

I don't doubt their difficult to organise in a short space of time, and my respect goes to those who give their time to make it happen. I can't say I'm hugely knowledgeable in the crowd display area, but I do know how much 17k is and 17k is a lot of money. I can also put 2 and 2 together with the quality feedback from others and ask 'was this a good way to spend 17k?'

Would a simple badge surfer (ship or modern) been that hard to organise?

He was poor but the lad is 18 with no real experienced mentor in midfield to help him in the squad in a huge game. Pointless to berate him for geeing up the crowd. People would have given him s*** if he didn't show any passion at all.

I don't get their mentality. I couldn't think of anything worse than pretending I was a mag 🤮 absolute wierdos.

Thank you. I normally just ignore them but he was only on here to antagonise.
Which one of them. Has been banned ?

If I was a Mod I would ban every single one of them. No Mag has any right to be on here.

Keep forgetting his age tbh.

Fans who see this kind of engagement between the players and the fans as a criticism are thick as fuck.

safcdave89 he was called. He’d only been on here a couple of days but every post was slagging us off or antagonising. I agree I’d ban the lot of them, they add nowt and most are only on here to take the piss.

Aye ,big shout out to the people who put the stuff on the seats and stuff .
City then the ground was buzzing
A win would have been amazing but that's part of supporting the lads

The fans were amazing. The volunteers were amazing. The display looked amazing (in our opinion)

We’ve done everything we can. We’ve taken enough of a battering from our own fans. We’re done.

Thank you for all your support. Fuck the mags.

Goodnight.

Aye
Well done
Given you lads jip for this and that in the past
But thoroughly well done and great job today
original design woukd be better
But senior people who think of themselves first and SAFC second put paid to that

I was in the south stand and felt the flags added to the atmosphere, when the sides went up with the display it looked mint.

Well done and thanks to all the volunteers involved in it.

Looked alright, but £17k was a rip and it's absolutely okay to give negative feedback on it if you thought it was shite 🤷‍♂️. You 'true fans' who are berating those who are calling out negative reviews are just showing yourselves up as ignorant tbh...
To be fair it was a full home display so that was 38,000 items for £17,000 which equates to 45p each. Your surely not going to get a much better deal than that at short notice.
