Northern trains


Went to get the 3 o’clock after the game and it was cancelled. Grand central at 3:30 also cancelled. We didn’t know how long we were going to be there for and assumed problems on the lines if both northern and grand central cancelled so got a taxi back.

That will have ruined people’s Christmas plans. Don’t know how both providers can get away with it!


How much was the taxi? I’d email Northern for a refund!

We’re definitely claiming our ticket money back and I’ll also apply to get the taxi refunded. I had to get back for my son so it’s not like I just couldn’t be arsed to wait around. We got a written receipt from the driver for that reason. It was £55 to where we got out.

I came on to ask about Tues night, just seen its an 8pm KO - thats gonna make catching the 2205 back very tight isnt it?

Has anyone noticed the difference in overcrowding now that the new services are running?

Looks like it’s at 10:21 and 12:21 from tby. It’s only 7 minutes quicker somehow😵‍💫

Calls at Middlesbrough, Thornaby, Sunderland and Newcastle.

Misses out Hartlepool! Wonder if that’s because of the new platform not being ready?

Ah must be why i havent seen it listed then! 😂 Its looking nearly done n should help matchdays that extra one. Although id sooner feck them off n do gc only.
At minute we have choice of the 11am 12am n 1 plus grand centrals.

Looks like a thornaby one gets in sland 105 so would leave hpool about 1240. Will be canny that!

Yeah, I'm sure that once that's finished then this express service will call at Pools.
 
10:21 northern bullet train for me today! Really worried that the complimentary ticket rides for the last time today 😞

Pre and post match pints, so hoping the trains are running after the game.
