Have nothing but good memories of him and wish him well but this really does show how hard it must be for clubs when it comes to renewing contracts and getting the timing of when to sell right.

At least he's on a good contract, deserved to make good money from his performances here. I don't have any ill feeling, we were good for him and he was good for us.

Other places reported £8M with a guaranteed £2M in future payments and £2M in bonuses (assume mainly counting on Southampton getting promotion).
