Longship pub closed in Hebburn due to fighting- mags got a hiding.

I meant the centre where the Chippy and that is, but yeah they had the Robin, was a decent pub just a bit out of the way from any other pub except the Prince
Not sure how long it’s been there but there’s a little bar in the community centre next to the chippy, they used to get our matches on in the keano era

Yes, along the bottom road.
I had my first ever pint in the Allison.

I was a bairn in a band and the big lads stopped for a pint. They asked me what I wanted and I got the same as the drummer. I was rocking as we drove to Whitley bay to do the gig.

Christ knows what a mess I made but I got a show out.

I remember the day the Robin Hood burned down. It was the Borg v McEnroe Wimbledon final in 1980! I was at my gran’s who lived in Hadrian Road and you could see the smoke billowing up. It’s amazing the things that stick in your memory from 40 odd years ago!

That was part of being a rock star wasn't it.

Sometimes I thought the love of making music wasn't why some people were in a band. Am I being a bit naive here?
80s was pretty rough but thankfully the gentrification has made it a lot more tranquil these days 😂
Ask any local P.C. if that's true

I wanted to show off and get off with lasses.

I was only 50% successful.

Lived in Hebburn for a few years in the late 90s/early 00s, and had some decent nights in Martha's (think it's a Mambo restaurant now??)
That’s was on our Friday night route in the mid 90’s - Start in the Deneside, taxi to Martha’s, round the corner to Wardles then finish at Dougies before walking to Santinos for a kebab

I really miss the Deneside.
In Every Sunday for the turn then off to Dougies.
