Forthcoming gigs.

Noel Gallagher in Leeds arena last night, really decent show, that bloke formerly of Kasabian was his opener and did a fair few Kasabian tracks which were banging like I know he's a POS etc but separating the music from the artist I do love the crowd pleasing Kasabian songs and sang loud and live was a good warm up. Now like most my age I grew up with oasis one of my all time faves and although not what you would call a big fan of either as solo artists still have a handful of songs of Noel's I like. He played some new stuff and a selection of his own greatest hits and a few oasis tossed in. Highlight of the night was a rejig of live forever, took the pop smash and gave it a really nice soulful reworking, had tears in my eyes tbh when song like that the lyrics take on a different meaning and tone. Great night, I like the arena sound is always spot on and parking and getting away always a breeze.

Been a few times now mate it's absolutely spot on. We park in the shopping centre literally fifty feet from the arena, in and out without any issue. Like you say your bang in the city centre so ten minute walk you've got so many options food and drink wise.

The Leeds Arena is the best arena type venue I've been to. The sound is always great and it seems like you can't have a bad view whether downsatirs or in the seats. Newcastle Arena is awful by contrast and tends to ruin the gig through bad sound or just bad atmosphere.

Leeds arena is mint. Great view wherever you’re sat and good facilities. Atmosphere can sometimes be a bit lacking though; but I kind of feel that’s because it’s too comfortable when you’re sat down.

One gig left of 2023 (Tom Jones tomorrow) then 2024 has lots to look forward to - lottery winners, Danny gruff, Rick Astley, girls aloud, Olivia Rodrigo, Liam Gallagher, take that, Robbie Williams, green day, rianne Downey, gaslight anthem booked so far.

Diverse

Måneskin tonight in AO Arena, Manchester. Last night of the tour (according to the t-shirt) and hopeful of a good finale.

As we walked in, we were about to go to our block and the guy said, "Do you want to sit on the lower level and closer to the stage?" - free upgrade from block 206 to 102 (look at the plan). Result.

Can anyone tell me if Newcastle City Hall is still an all seater- was back in the 80's which was last time i was in there ((Bauhaus, Smiths etc).
