Longship pub closed in Hebburn due to fighting- mags got a hiding.

it was the white lead for a while, but then that went tits. might have come back as dougies but not sure if its still going now? was always a fun place on a sunday night 'back in the day'.
I ued to like the White Lead for a quiet passing by beer, but it was very quiet & usually had only one or two people in. When it became Dougies it drastically changed to a packed bar. As far as I know it's still going as a restaurant/meals place.

Aye dougies is still going only good crack when the euros or World Cup is on and they put the big tent up, any other times it’s dead as owt

Aye, it is. Apparently two lads started on his son and he finished it naturally 😂 Absolutely no chance I’d take a clip off him.
I remember him as a bit of a teenage pain that wanted to hang about with the bigger lads.
I've heard there's a plan to revitalise the area - "We'll make Hebburn a place on earth."
They've tried god knows how many times to revitalise withoiut luck.
