Spirit of 37 - display v Newcastle


If the full stadium display is just our usual red and white mass with a local pride quote ( which is great in normal circumstance ), id rather not have it if it drowns pointed critique of the mags set up .

You’d rather not have it if it puts the attention on local pride?? WTF :lol::lol:
 
Have you had any hints from the club ref their allocation, obviously rumours of them potentially being in different areas which would affect this?
Should just give them 2k and leave them where they are imo though.

I'd rather put our support into getting behind Sunderland than concentrating on them, that's all.

We've got a team of young players. None of them will have played in a game approaching the magnitude of this one. What a shame that when they walk out the display will be about the opposition rather than in support of them. Can't exactly see it inspiring them and just makes us look jealous and obsessed. They're basically Man City Mk2. We never did anything like this when we played them. People are doing it because they are unhappy that the mags got all that money and that's the bottom line. If they were ran by skint Saudis like Sheff Utd nobody would be arsed. It's not even fan funded anymore either with the club putting in 10k.

Guarantee that in the discussions with the club to allow the display to happen they will have put certain things off limits.

The display will be brilliant but it won’t have anything to do with them or their owners imo

Well wash it off then. Our biggest game in years at the SoL (Wycombe in the Play off Final was bigger), our young team will need all the motivation and help they can get and we are dedicating our display to the opposition!

Makes us look small time beyond belief.
