It is mate. Wit was comfortably pick of the bunch. The free Belgian stews were superb. Vegan shroom option too.The wit is cracking. The rest...less so. Is this the Central?
Soft arse.First drink in 3 weeks
I'm in there all the time.Get yourself to Anchor and Hops in Stockton Heath.

I'm in there all the time.Live a ten minute cycle away. It's such a great little community bar, I think I'd have gone mental living here without it. Do you know them?
Some of Beer Centrals tasting are absolutely epic, I know a lad who’s a local there and he’s forever sharing their event lists. It’s safe to say we’ve ripped them off more than once.I was in Wigan last weekend (sneakily a brilliant place for pints) and they've got a place called Wigan Central, which is very similar to the Microbus in style, but it's massive, and trains rather than buses. Quite a weird English quirk that when you think about it.Aye I want to drink in a bar that makes me feel like I'm in a bus/train station, but when they were good and not soul destroying.
Is that Midwinter? Lovely stout if it is.It is mate. Wit was comfortably pick of the bunch. The free Belgian stews were superb. Vegan shroom option too.

Correct.I know Chris, yeah, he used to be a rep for Salopian and lived local when we first opened The Coracle so got to know him pretty well through his work and him being a regular. The people who fitted out his bar also done a lot of the work at The Coracle so he’s basically ripped us off.His place looks miles nicer tbf.
He’s a good lad and loves his beer. I still need to head up at some point, planned to go twice and life got in the way both times.

Yep, cracking little place. Seems to be the one that attacks the most ladies round there.Axis is a lovely spot like. They've done a good job, really hope it thrives.

Hope all goes well with the move - did you settle on the Longsight/Levenshulme area?I'm in there all the time.Live a ten minute cycle away. It's such a great little community bar, I think I'd have gone mental living here without it. Do you know them?
By the looks of things our house purchase will go through before Christmas so I'll finally be in Manchester. Strangely enough we won't have a craft beer shop as good as that anywhere near as close!

Right place, right time.
This is class. Still a class roasty black wave, with a not too powerful cherry undertone.
Absolute class from Nick

Cheers mate! Aye you're right, Levenshulme, the southern end of it near Station South/Nordie. Once I'm settled in I'll drop you a message about a pint. We've been on the tele a canny bit this year so could arrange it around watching us get beat.Hope all goes well with the move - did you settle on the Longsight/Levenshulme area?
Ha, small world! Yeah Chris and Stu are both really sound. They deserve a medal for putting up with us the odd time we take the in laws there who ask a million questions and want a taster of everything.I know Chris, yeah, he used to be a rep for Salopian and lived local when we first opened The Coracle so got to know him pretty well through his work and him being a regular. Never been in on a match day. It's big though so it's probably a decent shout. Think a few off here went last year and said it was good.Looks like we’re getting to milwall later than I hoped. Bastard trains bastard traffic.
@James what’s four pure like on a matchday? Looks like it’s right next to the ground
If you walk a few more minutes you’ll get to Three Hills, they’re class.Looks like we’re getting to milwall later than I hoped. Bastard trains bastard traffic.

Swan and Railway is class as well, the cask in there is perfection. Quite traditional in style of beer but that suits me. If you make an afternoon of it I'd recommend Real Crafty across the other side of town, it's brilliant, in some old conservative club. John Bull Chophouse is good as well, it's a Thwaites pub downstairs but upstairs as a separate craft beer bar with 6/7 good ones on keg (i.e. not shit like Beavertown) plus a fridge of cans. Thanks for the heads up about Wigan CentralCan't beat a good ale house next to a station, 15 minutes from Preston, I will give it a go next week.
I went to the Malt N Hops next to Chorley train station a couple of weeks ago, more a real ale than craft bar but some great beers at good prices, they had a mild on and it was spot on.
Sarnies for £1 and pork pies 50p, I was like a pig in shit!
