Excellent as ever. Did notice the only one I know sounded slower, not as good. What do you think?

Yeah i noticed that..i also thought some of the other tracks were just lacking a bit power..the guitars sounded a bit limp..i still enjoyed it but they weren’t as good as when i saw them there two years ago.

Agreed. Mind, I thought 'Then' was fantastic by them.my fave song anyway, but they really hit the spot with it. Euphoric. A massive crowd there as well. Couldn't get moved

Was possibly only about 3/4 full last time they played the City Hall. We could move around with a bit space around us.

This Tom Smith kid form Sunderland is on in St Albans this week so I may pop up to accompany my marra. The venues (The Horn pub) next door to the StA City station and approx 30 mins north from KX/StP on Thameslink. Farringdon, City Thameslink, Blackfriars, Elephant n Castle etc are just a few mins further away each so there’s no excuses for Lonson SMB rs missing out.
Never heard any of his stuff mind. So I’ll seek it out. Any recommendations?
Saw him supporting James in the summer, he is really good.

Did Sisters of Mercy last Saturday - their 1st show in Newcastle for almost 40 years.

Then original Iron Maiden singer Paul Di`Anno on Tuesday playing a set based around the first two Maiden albums at Trillians - his first appearance in Newcastle since 1981.

Tonight it`s former Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth is at the Riverside in Newcastle playing a big chunk of 'Tokyo Tapes' and a bunch of other Scorpions album classics and some of his own, Electric Sun stuff - saw him back in `83 at the City Hall - great guitarist. Really looking forward to it.

Tomorrow nigh is a bit of a Funky one with Extreme and Living Colour at the City Hall - great stuff.

I was at that City Hall gig in '83 and recall thinking how 'old' he was but also whether it was cool for me in my full on young buck-ness to be there.

Anyhoo...once he picked a few strings on that banjo I was rapt

Sleaford Mods tomorrow in Leeds

Sisters of Mercy supported the Clash at the City Hall in 1982..i can only remember them being on the first night out of the two though.

In the queue for Extreme now at the City Hall. (Wouldn't normally get here this early, mistimed it.)

Saw them here a few years ago, really good and their new album is great.
