Forthcoming gigs.

Think this might be the third time he’s played the Peacock. Swerved it everytime due to it being a Sunday, every time

However, I do need to tick him off my list. Back Against the Wall is up there with some of my favourite tunes.
Up against the wall ….. Power in the Darkness is a great album

The choice is yours.....

David Tattersall (Wave Pictures) Group - Cumberland Arms
Field Music - Cluny
Robert Plant - Sage
This Is The Kit - Sage
Blue Rose Code - Cluny2
Withered Hand/Darren Hayman - Pop Recs
Billy Bragg - Sage
James Yorkston & Nina Persson - Cumberland Arms
Eliza Carthy & Jon Boden - Fire Station

Plenty of room for a few more in December, mind.

Roisin Murphy at the City Hall in Feb looks tempting.
Northern Kin looking great next June.
Bruce in May.
Northern Kin looks good got my tickets last week

Ward Thomas at the fire station on Sunday for me. We misread it was an 'intimate acoustic gig' - hope my mate wine and dines me first

Then the Darkness at Newc City Hall on the 7th Dec

Fair assessment that, they were good musically, vocals on point , but not fantastic last night
I enjoyed it. Saw them loads back when they were very popular including an outdoor gig at Thetford in Norfolk. Always liked them...

The current tour is 25 years aniversary of The Good Will Out. They played the whole album from start to finish and then an encore of Ashes and Gravity plus Dry Kids and The Refugees and that was the lot.

Still a decent show I thought.

Worth it for the gig though, eh?
Aye, magical, as always with TITK
This Is The Kit @ The Glasshouse, Gateshead.

Pricey pints aside, I love seeing Kate & The Gang do their thing. I love watching and listening to the gentle chaos unfold, of misplaced chords, forgotten lyrics and Kate's amusing musings. It's like seeing an old friend again.

Forth time I've been able to see them, they've never put a bad show on. 100% recommend going to see them.

I'm just out of shot in the first pic!

I think it was about the 12th time for me, but maybe the 4th up here.

Really enjoyed Gina Birch too.

DakhaBrakha coming back to play the Glasshouse on January 19th. Hall One, Friday night, standing ticket at the front for £25. They were absolutely phenomenal at the Fire Station earlier this year - one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen.
