Whisky

Nice one well done 👏
Nowt better than free whisky!
I never win or really enter much…especially given I’m never arsed with hassle but my wife showed me how to enter and a piece of piss. There is a weekly super draw as well. This week is a 30 yr old bottle of Laphroaig ( story of Ian Hunter)

entered all of them.

The Oban maybe not the best but as you say can’t beat free whisky.

Got a bottle of the Czech Goldcock while in Prague over the weekend. Got a glass stopper rather than cork which means it’s leaked a tiny bit. Had to be the peated one as well so case a nice smoky whiff about it

I’ve fallen for the temptation of the WB 18 yo Tullibardine after the praise on here after the NE Whisky Festival. It is now my most expensive whisky purchase.
It’s a lovely dram, I’m sure you will enjoy it. It’s a first fill bourbon cask not a refill which is fairly unusual for an 18yo in my limited experience. The maturation seems to have given it some extra spice whilst toning down the sweetness somewhat.

I’ll be interested to know what you think once you get round to opening 👍

@shakerman any idea who makes olorosum available on master of malt? They do an islay ipidiom also.

Currently 3 for 2 with additional £10 off so £36 a bottle for 3.

I loved the wormtub offer working out £33 per bottle, very tempted by olorosum but curious

@shakerman I'm guessing Diagio with Cragganmore for Wormtub, and caol ila for ipidiom and who knows else for olorosum

I fully expect to be wrong with all 3 guesses. Bells, Grouse, and White & McKays 😆
