Forthcoming gigs.

Waves festival on saturday in sunderland if i can get hold of two tickets
I’ve ended up duffing it. Great that the match was moved forward, but then our lasses is taking our daughter away with the other lasses & bairns. Just me & the boy, felt a bit bad palming him off as I’m at Alabama3 on Friday anarl. So think I’ll end up soft playing it up.I’ll go next year.

Appreciate not technically a gig, but been to pics to see the Pete Doherty documentary/bio tonight
Really enjoyed it, quite hard hitting at times - said to my daughter like its a miracle how he still alive tho!

I took the bairn to see Kiss. I'm aware of their main popular songs but I'm not really a fan. I just went because the bairn loves them and wanted to go.

Really enjoyed it even though I didn't know half of the songs.

Just get out there and let yourself go!
I`ve seen them a fair few times over the years. last time they were in Newcastle I went with the show family and my kids brought a couple of mates with them that had never been to a gig before and didn`t really know much about Hard Rock - they were absolutely stunned by the experience and thought they were incredible. Not everyone`s cup of tea but they certainly know how to put on an entertaining show.

On the bus to Alabama 3 now.

They were good like. Not sure if it was the venue or if it’s usually like this, but the bass & drums proper came up through the floor, in a good way.

Very different from the record. Had a black wifey backing singer & there were large parts reminded me of Primal Scream Come Together, Moving on Up type gear.

Will be seeing them again at Northern Kin, so it’ll be interesting to see them in a tent & see if it sounds the same.

Nice email from last nights bash

I’m super grateful for everyone who came last night. It was another really amazing party.

All night I had people coming up and saying how it feels like something amazing is happening. While I obviously lap it up that some people want to thank me, the real truth is that you’re the people who are making it happen by bothering to turn up and dance so enthusiastically.

The whole idea of this being a community is that it’s something we’re creating together.

With that in mind I want to be up-front and say that the only way that we can continue doing these type of things is to keep on growing the party.

If you want them to keep happening then I really need to ask that not only do you do everything you can make it to the next one at King St on December 2nd, but you also try and drag down as many new people as possible too. Whether that’s by shouting about it online, or pecking their heads in person.

Tickets here -

For this to take root and be something that keeps going then it needs to become sustainable, and that means growing the foundation of the party even more.

I could play this cooler, but I’d prefer to be straight up about the need to do this.

There’s a chance that our next party will be our last at King Street, and potentially our last in North Shields in general. The cost and effort is incredibly high and we're all so busy that it's hard to justify these parties when they involve so much work, but if we grow it enough on December 2nd then we’ll be able to do at least one more on February 24thwith a DJ that would be our biggest yet (and then we'll see what happens after that). As always we’ll offer the tickets first to the people who came to our last party as we think that one will sell out instantly. We just need to get there by really filling December first.

Hopefully this seems like less of a begging request and more like just me putting control in the hands of the community that make the party.

There's no denying what we have is amazing at the moment, I just want us to be able to keep doing it.

Big love
Geoff
