William Storey

not only have i never met methven..my friend who dealt with him fell out badly with him and diesnt like him..so while people on here think I am him..the resality is..I dont even like the man!
But noit being a child-I can seperate my personal dislike for the person from reality-and the rea;ity is that while methven is a malevolent and srupid person..he did bring the billioanire to SAFC..and he did bring the money to charlton..
Reality is a good thing..you should try it some time..you might even get to like it..

As I say mebbes it’s a character he’s playing? In a few years time there may be a documentary film winning awards all ower the place and the real him is praised as some sort of visionary genius. Or mebbes it all ends in tears and there’s documentary films winning awards all ower the place as a warning about the dangers of fantasies?
here is what chalrton think of him...Elliott makes no bones about his support for Methven’s takeover and his approach to running the club. “I would not be here if I didn’t believe in the senior leadership and their strategic vision,” he says. “There’s been lots of stuff said about Charlie Methven but I work closely with him and I like him. I trust him. He’s the one that’s brought in the investment. He’s responsible, and the club could have again been in a dark place if it wasn’t for his intervention."

Man given a job praises the man who has given him the job shock horror expose. Who says there’s nowt new on the planet?
I think Calladine is overlooking the insolvency provisions.

they become the subject of:

  1. an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (including any fast track voluntary arrangement);
  2. a debt relief order (in accordance with the provisions of Part 7A of the 1986 Act);
  3. an administration order (in accordance with Part 6 of the County Courts Act 1984);
  4. an enforcement restriction order (in accordance with the provisions of Part 6A of the County Courts Act 1984);
  5. a debt management scheme or debt repayment plan (in accordance with provisions of Chapter 4 of Part 5 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007); and/or
  6. an Interim Bankruptcy Restriction Order, a Bankruptcy Restriction Order or a Bankruptcy Order (or any equivalent provisions in any jurisdiction which has a substantially similar effect); or
  7. any equivalent provision in any other jurisdiction which has a substantially similar effect, and in each case as may be amended from time to time;

they have been subject to two or more arrangements, orders, schemes, plans or provisions in respect of any of the matters set out in paragraph 2.1.11, irrespective of whether any arrangement, order, scheme, plan or provision is current or not;

in respect of an Entity, it suffers an Insolvency Event;

they are or have been a Director of a Club (or club) which, while they have been a Director of it, has suffered two or more unconnected Events of Insolvency in respect of each of which a deduction of points was imposed (and for the purposes of this paragraph 2.1.14 and paragraph 2.1.15 a Person shall be deemed to have been a Director of a Club (or club) which has suffered an Event of Insolvency if such Event of Insolvency occurred in the one year immediately following their having resigned as a Director of that Club (or club));

they have been a Director of two or more Clubs (or Clubs) each of which, while they have been a Director of them, have suffered an Insolvency Event in respect of each of which a deduction of points was imposed;

Guidance
For the purpose of paragraph 2.1.1 The reference to Premier League’s rules include their Owner’s Charter and rules regarding not forming a competitive competition (i.e Super League).
For the purposes of paragraphs 2.1.14 and 2.1.15, the definition of ‘Director’ and ‘Insolvency Event’ shall be deemed to apply to clubs in the same way as to Clubs.

they have been in an equivalent role to that of a Director:

  1. in at least two Entities that have each been subject to or suffered unconnected Events of Insolvency; or
  2. in an Entity that has been subject to or suffered two or more unconnected Events of Insolvency, and in either case the Events of Insolvency occurred in the immediately preceding ten years following their ceasing to act in that capacity, or within one year thereafter.
    For the purposes of this paragraph:
    1. where any Entity has been subject to more than one Event of Insolvency during the process of compromising or entering into a composition with its creditors (for example, administration followed by exit via a company voluntary arrangement), this will only count as one Event of Insolvency;
    2. it shall not apply where the Person is carrying out an equivalent role to that of a Director in their capacity as an Officeholder;

they are subject to any unsatisfied judgment or court order for payment of any monetary amount (provided all appeal rights have been exhausted);

As Calladine's own analysis of Storey's record at Companies House shows, he has been involved in at least two companies which have become insolvent. On that basi, in my opinion, he would fail.
I think he’s laughing at the “fit n proper” tests marra

I'm sure we've been over this before but he is one of seven shareholders who own 5% or more of Cayman Islands based Global Football Partners Ltd that controls UK based SE7 Partners Ltd, of which he is one of only two directors and which in turn controls CAFC. He is also the media frontman for the group who ultimately own CAFC so although neither of us can say for definite I am confident given the information available that CM would have had at the very least a meaningful input in appointing Paul Elliott.

yes methven is the media frontman thats the point..PR is his business..he has an active pr/marketing business among his other interests...why else would he be at chartlotn except to front it..?
methven isnt on the baord of directors that elliot is on..the baord are appointed by the chairman directly and the shareholders indirectly..methven isnt on the board but he has a small shareholding (it must be a small shareholding given how many sharehodlers there atre-as you mention seven have 5 per cent or more...but there is a large number of other shareholders..

Elliot is a non exectuvie director..its not an important or senior role..
